>Jerry and George ate at the same place and got the same food yet George was fatter
But but genetics and metabolism dont matter!
they don't matter because george can just suck it up and eat less or exercise more
>>40944911
George goes to the gym and walks all over the city
>>40944951
George is a weak-willed fatty ready to any intellectual somersault rather than actually getting shit done. In George's world, he is never the cause for anything, everyone has it easier than him and his body defies the laws of physics.

Yea. I'm going to do it one day although buying the ingredients at Walmart and cooking and at home is cheaper.

Does it actually matter when you eat? I work awful shifts and it's kinda impossible for me to develop some sort of routine
>>40944761
Not really as long as it isnt one big meal.
>>40944871
why not one big meal?

>>40944637
damn dude you do know that drizzling a little olive oil and at the least salt and pepper on that, and then removing the equivalent calories from the chicken that are supplied from the olive oil would be a good investment. not a bad set of ingredients but learn to cook dude, not trying to be rude, just.. you can do a lot more to food you know.
I got a body fat test and got 7.2%. This confused me, because I haven't worked out in years. I'm not ripped at all and the only exercise I get is riding my bike 10-15 minutes a day and playing ping pong 1 hour a day.
I'm Native American and have really fast metabolism. I'm not sure if that changes anything.
So was the test bogus?
I don't even eat particularly healthy. I just try to not eat unhealthy.
>>40944609
What did you test it with because this always seems to be the secret answer.
If you did it with that stupid magnetic handle thing, its wrong.
If you did it with calipers then your brain is fucking bad.
If a doctor floated your retarded navajo ass then its legit.
Anything else is horseshit.
>>40944625
Okay, that explains it. It was with the retarded magnetic handles. Still, the person said that was the lowest they'd seen in years.
Are they just unreliable or something?

Is milk a decent breakfast? Sup fit I am thinking of drinking more chocolate milk since it is a quick 400 calories and I dont have too much time to cook in the morning
>>40944560
Just wake up 15 minutes earlier and make some oats. Just milk won't last for long, you will get hungry fast.

What's fits opinion on ground beef? My brother bought half a cow and he got 50lbs of hamburger that he couldn't fit into his freezer so he gave it to me. So I have a shitload of hamburger for the foreseeable future.
Is constantly having ground beef good for you? Worse than chicken?
Its damn handy for a keto bulk if you're inclined to such things.
>>40944162
I'm thinking it will be much easier to portion than chicken, so it'll make tracking calories much easier. Plus, I like browning it and mixing it with plain tomato sauce for a nice meal.

Noob to lifting here, going to go to the gym tomorrow for day 2 of stronglifts. What are some things I should know about being a courteous gym-user before I go?
I'm pretty new to this, so the only thing I really know that's important is that you're supposed to wipe down the machines after you use them and that it's considered rude to drop weights right on the ground after you pick them up.(instead of lowering them slowly). I'm not using machines anymore, though. I'm also vaguely aware that you're also not supposed to get chalk everywhere but I don't use that so I think I'm fine.
Last time I went I also felt kind of weird because strong lifts says you're supposed to rest for 90 seconds between sets. What are you supposed to do while you rest? I wound up just standing next to the cage like an idiot with an expression like pic related. Some girl walked up to me while I was doing that and asked me how many sets I had left, I told her I had four sets left but I wound up panicking and banging them out really quickly with like 20 second rests between my remaining sets instead of 90 seconds because I didn't want her to think I was hogging it or anything. I'm not sure if that was the right thing to do or not though.
TL;DR What should a beginning lifter know about gym etiquette?
>>40943976
Tip the receptionist
>>40943976
You're doing good, wiping the bench after you use it is a good idea, sweaty back slime and all.
While resting between sets I usually just stretch or something, I don't know what to do either, but honestly as long as you don't look like you're wasting the machine by being on your phone or something, you should be good. If someone asks how many sets you have left, just offer to let them work in between you, that way you rest while they do their set and vice versa.
>>40944396
So using the phone while sitting on the bench between sets is a no-go, just in case people think you're just wasting time? That seems easy enough, I'll just decide what to listen to before each exercise I guess.
>If someone asks how many sets you have left, just offer to let them work in between you, that way you rest while they do their set and vice versa.
That's what I was trying to say, but how exactly are you supposed to do that if you assume you're probably not going to be working with the same weights as the other person? Do you just take the plates back on and put 'em back on again as you alternate? Seems kind of weird to do with a stranger but I like the sound of it anyway.

Anyone else here tried keto before? I started it about a month ago at 212 lbs (6ft) and I'm down to 193 now. Lost 2 inches off waist. Doing 1700-1800 calories a day. 30 mins of cardio at home and 10 mins of HIIT after my lifting session. Idk it just seems like I'm losing so much so fast. Lot is prob water too. My strength has for the most part stayed the same if not just a little bit lost.
>>40943684
loved keto for fat loss
hated keto for affecting my lifting performance
