SS and SL are real decent for getting your body from a point that it should never have biologically allowed to be in, where you have no strength or muscle mass, to a point where you can outlift 60% of the population.
Its a brilliant beginner routine (I prefer SL but hey ho) but its only that. After a while you're gonna start stalling on all your lifts, constantly deloading and fucking up your joints. Use it for a 3 month period, milk it as best you can, sort your diet out and hit your macros, then switch to a more advanced powerlifting routine if you like that, or figure out your own brosplit now that you know your way around lifting things and a gym.
t. a guy that started with a brosplit and didn't even bench his own bodyweight, dropped it for a year, came back for a month using SL and can now lift more than I could after 6 months of brosplit
Anything that gets you in the gym and exercising is a good first step. I believe in you son.

What's the fastest way of squatting 120kg for reps of 10-12? Get your squat up to 180kg for sets of 5. It worked for me and the friends I've put it on irl exploded in size compared to the guys who stuck with splits or intermediate programs.
Yes your legs will get massive, but so will your arms once you can bench 120kg.
