Why would you ever specialise in long distance cardio over explosive/strength movements? What benefit does having a good marathon time have on basketball, football, fighting or running away from danger? Everything in life requires max effort performance, not doing little effort over time. Also, you end up looking like shit compared to someone in strong or explosive sports.

well, fasting usually does involve eating less...

but ignoring that, intermittent fasting is one way one fixing insulin sensitivity, same with keto.

having good insulin sensitivity means high ratio of lbm to fat gain when you decide to bulk, amongst other things
