We'll I just want to say that info graphic design gives me aids as a designer.

I got a great new job, there's literally a rock climbing gym across the street with free weights. I'm gonna have to move across the country but at least I'll have a way to connect to new people via the climbing gym.
I've started investing in better clothes and getting my old ones altered to fit better.
Got rid of social media. Already happier and less distracted.
Cleaned out my apartment down to the essentials. An uncluttered space is way better for the mind.

So I have a few questions for the true beasts of /fit/:

Fag from /sci/ [Not a chemist, I'm a mech. eng.] here for the 1st time.
I want to build my body like zyzz.
However, i have two questions:

-I am 174cm [5 ft 8]
is there any use for me to have a nice and well defined
body.
In case you are wondering: I weigh 74 kg, Most of my
body weight is on my thighs and ass [feminine weight
distribution for some reason]

-My second question is:
-Is it possible to use steroids once, or is it something that needs to be used multiple times on a certain basis.
-What are the affects of using steroids a few times ?
-Is it worth it ?

Three plates is a fine place to start for using straps on a deadlift but I think you should focus on grip strength first. I'd say 4 plates is kind of almost guaranteed where torsional force is more likely to rip the bar from your hands if you don't hook grip or mix grip. So to prevent supination of one shoulder use the straps then.

tldr; use straps at 3-3.5 plates.

Hey /fit/ I got out of the gym a couple years ago and got invited by a random qt to a christian young people gathering. Met a insanely hot/nice grill and asked her out. Anyway, I'm an atheist and can't stand the bullshit that's spoken every Sunday in church, we are now engaged and getting married next year. How do you deal with the hour long speech without smirking and making disgust faces?

Also to keep it fit related, name a better cardio/endurance exercise than burpees. Answer: you can't.

Srs question, be honest too, no matter how narcissistic you may sound. Do you feel more alpha than guys that you are bigger than? Do you feel being "fit" puts you above people who are out of shape and/or fat? Do you feel like you are overall better than other people simply for being in better physical condition?

Been lifting for 6 years, 20 years old and college student so most guys at parties usually aren't as big as me, and I say that without being arrogant cocky etc. Im 6'3 210 lbs for frame of reference.

I will say that being bigger than most and obviously in better shape than the majority of guys is nice at parties. It definitely does make you feel like you have a far better chance of pulling girls at parties and it also makes you seem like you have an overall greater presence at the party. No matter what you think though girls don't really notice it as much as guys. Every guy notices it and sometimes I'll get a couple lads who will come talk about lifting, ask me about my lifts, etc. I will sometimes have the occasional thot hit on me and mention how big my arms are and stupid shit like that, but for the most part women seem to look past the idea of the big man over little man complex. This is strictly something only guys think about so just remember that when you go out to socialize. Women don't think a condescending douche bag is attractive no matter how /fit/ you are.

I have a hiatal hernia that does the same thing.

My doctor says that it's treatable through surgery but the surgery is only 50% successful and I would have to stop lifting and doing any vigorous exercise maybe forever.

After about 4 years of trial and error I've found what works for me:

1. I use Circumin 95 everyday for inflammation and it has done wonders for my stomach. It worked pretty quickly for my fucked up lower back but it took about a month for me to realize how much better my stomach problems were after using it.

2. Keeping Ranitidine (Zantac) on hand and taking it before I know that I'm going to have some drinks or spicy food or anything that might make it act up. Just go with the 150mg tabs to be sure it'll work. I also take one before a workout that includes squats or deads because weight forcing my shoulders down gives me gerd.

3. 1 tsp of baking soda in water before bed. It prevents me from waking up in the middle of the night or vomiting a bit in my sleep (if you haven't experienced that yet then you're in for a treat).

I got all these problems from a car accident that broke my lower back and fucked up my stomach. I honestly thought about suicide until I figured out how to manage it. Good luck.
