There's really no secret besides telling yourself "You know for a fact you'll feel great after you do it, and you'll feel like shit if you don't" and forcing yourself to move. It may just take a lot of experience with this cycle before you internalize it enough for it to motivate you.

Like one area I've made a big shift in is waking up early for work (teacher). I fucking do like getting up before 7am or so, but I wake up at 5am like clockwork during the school year, because I KNOW the tradeoff of a little more sleep for more stress due to having to rush through things is just not worth it. But it took me years to slowly build to this point.

Following SS from the Sticky, now it is time to add Power Cleans. I have two questions
1. Do I do them on both day A and B
2. How do I calculate how much I PowerClean?

>>
>>41194964
You don't need to do power cleans
>>
just do stronglifts 3x5, powercleans are autistic
>>
Sub/alternate them with rows.

Power cleans are fun don't listen to haters.

Can someone explain this pic? Are we really screwing ourselves over by not being like the left monkey?

I don't get it. Are they implying the healthy monkey ate a vegan diet, or are they implying that the healthy monkey significantly less than the unhealthy monkey? Maybe both? Is there a study on this, or is this just some retarded picture you found on Reddit with no real source?

Hey /fit/ I've got a question. If i just do alot of pushups and running per day will that keep me fit and well muscled? I can't really fit in the time going to the gym and figuring out how to do 50 different workouts. So will say 100 pushups per day and an hours jog and sprint and keep me well muscled?.
52 posts and 3 images submitted.
>>
No (read the sticky), and it's difficult to see how that would take less time than going to the gym anyway.
>>
no, it most definitely won't

If you can fit over an hour of exercising every day then there's really no reason why you shouldn't just go to the gym. Sounds to me you're just too lazy
>>
>>41194786
If you are DYEL like me then push-ups help a lot but after a certain point you need to add weight training. I went from 135 to 145 eating more and doing bodyweight stuff but then progress slows down a lot. I'm gonna join the gym soon. I hope I was able to help :)

I am a thin almost healthy guy, but I consume juice, cookies and soda on regular basis, so I'm worried about this could cause me a future problem. Is there something to be worried about? or Can I keep my diet?, also what do you suggest for improving it?

Yes. There is no reason to ever have sugar in your diet.
>>
the obesity epidemic didn't start until sugars started showing up in every food.

How I should substitute it? For Example I know that I could change juice for no added sugar tea but what about the cookies and bread?

Good evening /fit/

Just curious, how do you deal with people giving you 'advice'? I'm not talking about pointers on your squat not going below parallel or your elbows flaring on bench or some actual useful help. I mean how do you deal with the big steroid loving guys telling you you shouldn't be overhead pressing because it's bad for your back e.t.c.

I just said ok thanks, and carried on doing it anyway I guess that's the best way to politely say I'm ok thanks I follow an actually good strength program not shit post on bb forums.

Anyway it's not the first time. Some guy I used to work with told me water builds muscles and that milk is for babies.

Inb4 overhead incline press. It wasn't.

Alright, serious and honest to god, what is making it?
Is there a consensus on what it is?

I've basically considered making it working towards achieving your goals, and i made it is like when you've, you know, made it
Am I right?
Is there something it's definitely not?
How do YOU define "making it"?

Truly making it is a myth, perfection is impossible.
However we should all still strive for it.
Making it in /fit/ terms is simply reaping the benefits of trying to be as close as you possibly can to perfect.
>>
>>41194248
Making it is getting to the point where you can trigger other peoples inspiration of wanting to make it. You become a vessel to spread the way of life.

How do you make coffee taste good without making it a gains killer?
46 posts and 12 images submitted.
>>
Get good beans.
Grind correctly for brewing method
Brew for proper time

or just make the shit, add a pinch of salt, and filter that bitch over some eggshells. Nothing like coffee so black and evil that you can dilute it 4:1 and it's still pitch black; the caffeine hits you from 20 feet away and could revive a man dead 5 days

basically this. there are two things i don't skimp on in life: coffee and toilet paper.
