Is Peanut Butter a healthy/reliable enough protein source for daily consumption?
(considering I'm going to buy the one that isn't full of bullshit ingredients which aren't peanut or oil)

>>41236409

Yeah but make sure not to eat it as your only source of protein.
>>
Peanutbutter is fucking 10/10 on a bulk, especially if you get the good stuff. The fat content is generally pretty high though, so you don't want to overdo it. I wouldn't use it as your main source of protein by any means, but its a good supplement.
>>
>>41236421
The thing is that I'm kinda tired of eggs every fucking day.
Not that they are the only protein source I have, but, considering I don't buy any suplements, I'm looking for new things to use as protein.

I used to work late nights, and to keep me awake and full, I'd drink a small coffee coolatta as my lunch and dinner, skipping breakfast, and that was when I was at my skinniest (not to sound gross, but it goes right through you and clears out your system. Might as well be a laxative)

But then I got a 9-5 office job, and ditched the coffee coolatta when I read all these articles about it being fattening and the unhealthiest drink in America, so I replaced the drink with regular food meals and now I've gained weight.

I'm 5'1. When I drank only coffee coolattas, I was 104 lbs. now I'm 120.

How can all these articles say it's so unhealthy when I was my most skinny on it?

What do

I just started working nights and sleep 7-12PM or 1 in the afternoon after my shift ends. I try eating during my shift but can't get down a whole meal and i feel full when I try. Simple carbs like breads and the like I can choke down easy. I have no idea how it works or how I can change it.
>>
>>41236244
Calories and energy.
The energy in that coffee coolata increased your NEAT(how much you move about) and ramped up your metabolism for a while and probably killed your appetite as well.

The meal itself is good for you. The problem is that you aren't eating well and being active.
>>
This might be bait, but fuck it, I've got some free time.

You're fixating too much on the drink when your caloric intake and daily energy expenditure as a whole are what's important. You can lose weight while having a milkshake every day and gain weight while choosing diet soda over regular. If you're eating more calories than you're spending, you'll gain weight. If you're eating less calories than you're spending you'll lose weight.

In a vacuum, that drink is obscenely unhealthy. It has no real nutritional benefit and probably a fuckton of calories. The article isnt wrong.

If you want to lose that weight, and hell, maybe even start having Coolattas again occasionally, I suggest you read the sticky at the top of the page. Then go find an app like Myfitnesspal or Cronometer and figure out your TDEE, which is how much energy your expending daily. Start tracking your calories, even if its for a short period. Im certain that you'll find that you're eating more than you're expending each day.

Don't get overly caught up on one element of your diet. Yes, the Coolatta is shit for you, yes it'd be better if you didnt have them at all. But more important is your diet as a whole and how many calories you're taking in altogether.

Don't hyper extend your spine, retard. Stick to releasing the glutes to relieve lower back tension

>be me
>6'1 224 lb, with 6 1/2 mo. lifting
>working on bench, near my limit at 2pl8
>asian gym manlet asks to work in with me
>slightly annoyed but say okay because don't wanna be rude and agree to spot him
>at his final set he ends up maxing out at 285 lb

What the fuck /fit/? Is this guy natty or cheating? I spent a few minutes small-talking with him to find out stats and he said had been lifting for 7 years and weighed 140 lb. Later followed him to the locker rooms when I saw him leaving, and didn't see any signs of gyno when he was changing.

Are there substances out there that massively increase strength without increasing mass? I still can't make up my mind on whether he was natty or a /fraud/.

>>
>he literally stalked someone into the locker room at peeped at his nipples
>>
It probably took him twice as long as you to get to 2pl8
>>
>>41235962
strength has to do with not just muscle mass, but mainly "neurological" factors and length of limbs.
If he's a manlet, its easier
If he's been training longer, its easier
Ever hear of people flipping over cars to get a kid out from under it?

If you have two guys with the same lifts, but one guy is lighter, he is relatively stronger. But why is this impressive?

Because the lighter guy was able to cut and keep his strength?

Explain like I'm 5

the size of your frame (bones) greatly contributes to your strength

density, perimeter. especailly the joints
>>
>>41235579
Imo i don't think its nearly that impressive, maybe if the weight difference is extreme, you have someone like hafthor bjornsson who's 400lbs average per year deadlifting upper 900s and i think tipped 1005 recently but pete rubish who did 920 and he's 150-200lbs lighter.

We all know that sleep improves testosterone and hence lifts, meaning this is absolutely fitness related.

You don't power through shin splints, that'll just fuck you up worse. If your leg starts to hurt, stop running and rest otherwise you'll end up like >>41236044

You have to build up your ability to run faster and farther little by little.

I used to wageslave in the meat department of my local krogers. In the back we had these big garbage cans full of trimmings that fall off when we cut up big chunks of meat into steaks, burgers, etc. that garbage can goes to dog food companies
