How are you fixing it?

Fellow calflets, I'm making this thread to instill hope in you. My calves are finally growing, and I'll tell you how I did it. For years I gave up on calves, until I'd finally had enough.

Here's how I did it in 5 steps:
1. Work calves any day they aren't sore, even rest days.
2. Warm up, then do high weight standing barbell calf raises, all variations of stances; toes pointed forward, outward, inward, and another I made up out of desperation that I will explain in a moment, 3 sets to failure. I did not use a plank of wood or anything for extra depth during this exercise.
3. Repeat step 2 with light weight
4. Repeat step 3
5. Always eat at a caloric surplus, fuck your abs, fuck your bf%, just eat some extra food

Here's an explanation of the variation I made up. Feet shoulder width apart, toes pointed forward, move one foot backward so your toes align with the heel of your forward foot, then preform calf raises like that. Then switch your backward and forward foot and do the same amount of reps. If this variation already exists then I'm retarded and did not make it up. I'm not sure if it actually does much but the calf of the forward foot seems to contract much tighter than normal. I started doing these because I desperately wished I could do donkey calf raises but I have a home gym and never had a partner.

My calves are still small but I can see actually improvements in size and definition after 2 months, if only minimal. Just thought I'd share this to anyone out there who's as desperate as me for bigger calves.

I've done it, I visited snap city

>doing strength training
>got insufficient rest for the last week
>smaller injuries pop up, ignore them
>evening after deadlifts, lift my gf from seated position
>back starts hurting
>nevermind it
>wake up next day, can't stand up
>manage to stand up, lose vision, lose hearing
>almost black out from pain
>been on pain meds for 2 days with relative mobility
>training won't be possible
>seeing doctor tomorrow


What's the quickest way out of snap city? Or I should ask the best way, I want your experiences so I don't make unneccessary mistakes.

I'm no doctor but this doesn't sound like snap city.

By all means see a doc but the fact that you can move around (even if on pain meds) is encouraging.

I fucked up my back deadlifting once and for 48 hours afterwards I was in enough pain that moving (nevermind bending over) was limited to trips to the bathroom.

My advice is to:
1) see a doctor
2) get back under a bar (start with just the bar) as soon as you feel up to it

The longer that you spend not immobilized the longer it will take to rehab the injury (I fucked myself up pulling 285 and now pull 450+ pain free) It's a setback for sure but you'll be okay.

So standing up, I look fine and my stomach looks pretty much flat. I've never had an issue with my stomach but lately noticing that I get bloated way more easily than I use to after eating meals. In the morning, it's way flatter than at the very end of the night and I hate that too.

I have really sensitive muscles in my stomach that make me hate doing crunches for too long, it also makes my NECK hurt worse. What other supplements or exercises can I do? I also take ACV Tablets- apple cider vinegar tablets daily.

Fuck, I'm having so much trouble sleeping for 8 hours, I feel like it is really detrimental for both gains and other aspects of life

I go to bed at 23, roll around, sleep, and get up at 2-3, roll around for an hour, wake up at 6.30 again, and from that point can't manage to sleep again

There will be a time when you can't/don't. What then? In a way, how long do you want to keep this up, and how long do you think you can keep this up? And whenever you eventually fall off the routine, what then?

I'm sorta just getting started, so I think I would like to do it for a couple decades if I can, but I'm not sure how much I can.
