/fit/ A buddy of mine is being brainwashed by this guy who claims to be a "nutritionist" and is feeding him all kinds of bullshit, telling him to stop eating meat and essentially become a vegan. How do I save him? I don't want him to end up with anemia and b12 deficiences because of bad advice.

Can anyone tell me how to improve on my pullup reps. I can currently do 5 good ones before struggling. My goal is to be able to do at least 15 good ones. What machines can do I do and or what regiment can I follow to reach my goal.

The best way to be able to do more pullups is just doing more pullups.

When you are doing a set, for you as you said it is five, with ACTUAL GOOD form, not these cucks that gymnastic' their way up.
but from dead hang, set the shoulders all the way back (contracting scapula), pull without ANY momentum up to the point as high as you can go WITHOUT letting your shoulders fall back forward (you see this alot, as people get to a point, and let their shoulders roll back forward, just in order get that last bit of distance in the movement, making a sort of a 7 shape movement)
then with the same control, STILL keeping the shoulders back, lower back down to dead hang

when you have exhausted as many as you can do with that form, then when u get to the top of the last one, just stay there at the highest point, really focusing on pulling you shoulders back and contracting your lats even more, while eventually the failure of the muscle will naturally lower you down again

It depends. I hit a 2plate bench in about a year, and a 3plate bench in 3 years when I was a teenager. However, I was doing a 3 day brosplit and didn't do much strength training.

Protein is what your muscles use to recover. And most average diets don't give you enough.

You need a certain amount for your muscles to not atrophy and so that your recovery is faster.

I've seen people with chad facial structures that are 5 feet 9 inches like the guy on the left in the pic. So, is being a manlet really that bad? I'm 5 8 and I have no problem with girls. Being in the 5 6 to 5 10 range isn't really that bad. Like overall, you just need decent facial aesthetics, a good muscular body and decent social skills to get you laid with prime women.

But if you are 5 3 or below or a dwarf, then you're fucked.

I got a stupid question, that was propably asked a thousands of times here. How bas is drinking for your gains?
My mate told me that for 4 days after being drunk its absolutely pontless to work out, cos your body won't build any muscles. Is there any thruth in that? Can I say get drunk every saturday and work out all week and have my gains? I know that alcohol is just empty calories, but is it actually worse than that or are others theories just bullshit?

Drinking every Saturday and working out 3-4 times during the week days wont really be a huge impact on your gains. That being said, it certainly wont help, and don't drink before a workout day.

I see now you'd only drink Saturday. If you can keep it to that only that, then the % of "gains" you'd lose is likely approaching insignificant assuming it's not an insane amount of alcohol every Saturday. Binge drinking once a week is still binge drinking, but I've done it this way and really don't see many problems as long as my diet is in check otherwise.

Doesn't happen often, but every few months I start getting blinding headaches as soon as I start lifting. Pain fades after an hour, but comes back as soon as I start exerting. This can last for a few days, which is some unacceptable bullshit.

Any tips on this, and how to avoid it?

Exertion headaches aka tension headaches. Can be caused by tightness in traps or a small muscle that leads down the front of your neck. Honestly only fix is to stretch, take an ibuprofin, and lessen the weight while making a conscious effort to focus on breathing during reps.

I had this BAD when i started lifting, went to the doctor and everything. Most likely its from a weak muscle when youre doing heavier compounds, usually in the traps/neck or upper back. Just gotta push through and keep lifting while keeping good form. It's gone for me so you can make it brah.

i had a very bad accident 1 year ago.
litearlly every single bone in my leg had been crushed, large loss of muscle- & skintissue.
it took me a whole year to walk stairs again.

im so out of shape, i cant even do a real situp. i'm doing all the excercises i did pre-accident as good as i can. pushups, situps, squatting. but its not even 5% of what i was able to do before.

pls, need tips to get back into shape.
