well that's your answer he's doing in boxing what they call "roadwork". High intensity cardio for sustained a long duration is probably the only way you're going to deliberately lose muscle mass. Moderate cardio not so much.

From memory his diet was just a pre-contest bodybuilder diet so chicken brown rice broccoli, protein every 2-3 hours, etc. Couldn't have been any more than 2500 calories even on those cardio days, probably closer to 2000 on arm and shoulder meme days.

most people as fat as boogie drop to like 200 and then stay there because surgery doesnt solve the underlying problem of food addiction. if they dont, they figure out the power of milkshakes and bulk back up again. surgical weight loss isn't sustainable without a dedicated lifestyle change.
The type of surgery is definitely a legitimate way to lose weight.
It basically forces you to not be able to eat.

you should lift on hard floor. if you only have carpet, make a platform out of wood. you should use hard soled shoes. if you dont have any then barefoot is better than squishy running shoes etc. you may prefer heeled WL shoes for squats put thats personal preference

How viable is dancing as cardio?
What are the best dances to use? Keep in mind that the easiest way to get into dancing is simply going to a club in town. i.e. claiming the entire floor to start breakdancing so that I can inform the bouncer "it is the best danceform to burn calories" as he chucks me out is not an option.
I have got some experience in traditional ballroom dancing, but none of that burns calories to the degree that a good run or cycle would. Besides that waltzing along the club floor is as much of an option as breakdancing is.
Basically the problem is, dancing on my own where I can do whatever makes dancing pointless, as might as well just run or swim. Dancing in a social setting however seems to limit you to the fucking sidestep.

Yes you can lose weight swimming (I regard it as the only acceptable form of cardio), but you'll never be a strong swimmer unless you also work out.

Minimalist running shoes/barefoot running. It destroys the calves. Take it slow or you won't be able to walk for a week. Pic related.
When you go to the gym on your next leg day, load up a leg press with adequate weight for reps and just press with your toes, and let the leg press come down slightly pointing your toes more inward, then press slowly. Absolutely burns your calves.

So I moved house and got a new job so slacked a bit on exercise. I got back into it today but had some chest pains when exercising cardio.
I've been out for a bit too long, not enough sleep and probably a bit too much coffee (three cups a day) but am young (26) and follow a good diet.
Is this something I should worry about or something that will go away when I get in better shape?
