Help me out here brahs, i cant do regular squats (feet shoulder width) without falling over, but i can squat with wider than shoulder width stance and feet pointing farther outward with pristine form. What would i be losing if i replaced all my squats with these sumo squats? Also how could i potentially fix my regular squat problem? Could it be bar placement on my back? Stiff ankles? I can do them with mediocre form if i do it without weight and use me arms as a counterweight, but even then i still tip over occasionally. Lend me your knowledge brothers
>>41445374
Falling over to the sides or forwards/backwards?
When I first started doing high bar I would always fall forward. I eventually moved the bar down an inch or so (still a high bar position) and it stopped the issue.
Shoulder width foot stance is bullshit unless that fits your tibia/femur ratio.
Watch this series of videos,

>>41445374
just pull sumo and eat butt
and the answer is
do what feels best
play with not only feet stance width but also feet rotation
note that your squat stance might change and adjust itself over time especially if you are beginner. For me that wad the case since my hips opened up a tad bit.
Why do women hit "the wall" so fast?
Is it because their bodies are less able to resist the negatives of modern lifestyle effects on the human body?
I see tons of guys go into their 30s and 40s still looking fit, although they might not be as sharp as they once were, they still hold their own among other younger men. But if you look at women in their 30s and 40s and even mid-late 20s, they've fall apart completely.

I aim for 130g a day.

>>41445235
around 200
150 would probably be enough but I'd rather get too much than too little. it's not like I bother counting exact figures anyway, they're just estimates
1g per lb
>I'd rather get too much than too little
this
and no, a bit more than necessary won't ruin your kidneys
studentfag here - i don't have money to buy food for next few weeks and have to live solely on carbs. I'm on a cut as well.
what will be the consequences on my body assuming i lift 4x week+calorie deficit? i'd be getting around 20g protein per day.
>>41445198
take a $100 loan or something. if you dont get any protein it's pointless to exercise. 20g isnt even enough to maintain muscle, it'll break down and you'll lose more muscle than fat regardless of your calories or exercise
>>41445207
how much muscle would i lose with 3 weeks of low protein?
>>41446341
literally impossible for me to know over the internet
How do you suppress your hunger, /fit/?
>>41445162
i just accept it until it vanishes again. it's not like i'm hungry 24/7. but also i'm not fat, so i'm not used to big amounts of food like fatties are

Is losing weight really that hard? Especially if you are an obese man like Boogie2988?
I am 6'3 feet or 191cm tall. Three weeks ago i weighted 202 lbs or 91kg and now i am at 85-86kg or 188-190lbs. So i lost 12-14lbs or 5-6 kg by just drinking water instead of sodas and having slightly less sweets in my life.
I don't feel like i starved myself and i enjoyed regular food without cutting down my meals.
It feels like a guy like boogie could easily lose 100lbs over period of 4 months without any heavy exercise just by lowering his sugar intake and taking a few short walks each day.
He would not have to starve himself or spend hours at the gym just a bit of effort would do.
>>41445039
>Hurr look at me I was born with better genetics than you!
Fuck off retard
It gets exponentially harder the fatter you get- something most people don't seem to understand or realise.
Heaviest I've ever been is 23% bodyfat because I've never had shitty eating habits other than nearly daily sweets/processed shit for a year before getting fit.
Obesity is nothing more than the byproduct of shitty lifestyle- predominantly as a result of shitty parenting
With a proper diet losing weight simply becomes a chore rather than an arduous task but it never gets necessarily easy

>just a bit of effort would do

Hey /fit/ I need help.
I've hit a wall with my bench press ...at 40kg.
>zero-point-five-puh-late le-mayo
Yeah yeah, I'm a total dyel but I only starting lifting at all 10 months ago at home, and only 5 months ago at the gym.
Trainer started me off on dumbbell press, which I had no problem improving with dumbbells (3x10 of 10kg dumbbells to 20kg in about 10 weeks), but since moving to barbell press 6 weeks ago I've made zero improvement. Started at 40kg which I can handle for 3x10 pretty comfortably, but anything more and I can barely hit 5 reps before failure. I've read the fucking sticky and tried deloading back to 40kg and increasing volume, but can only hit 12 or so reps before failure also. Today I got bullied for the first time for lifting "babyweights" on the bench, I don't care but I just want to fucking improve.
What do, /fit/? Should I try less volume with higher weight or move back to the dumbbell press?
>inb4 eat moar
I have been gaining wait steadily since I started lifting at just over 1kg/month (started as a 5'10 60kg skelly, now 72kg
>inb4 it's your form
I've checked with the trainer and gymbro, form is fine
>inb4 low test
my other lifts are improving fine, I'm squatting lmao1.25pl8 for 3x10 which is better than average at my shitty gym
bls
10 months and not even 1 plate bench yet? How the fuck? Yes go higher weight fewer reps for awhile
>>41445099
I didn't even do chest while I was lifting at home because I'm an idiot, so I've only been at the bench for 5 months. Clearly something has gone wrong with my progression though, I'll try doing 5x5 with higher weight.
Did any of you just go full out instead of getting into exercise slowly? Any guide i find or person i talk to recommends taking things at a safe pace and to push yourself a bit and all that, but has anyone ever gone from eating 3 tubs of ice cream a day to spending 6-10 hours a day getting /fit/? Is it even a good idea?
>>41444865
that was a wild ride thanks for sharing that
>>41444865
it's not possible because you get DOMS. that's why every guide you read is about taking things slowly
Its a shit idea, youre way more likely to just injure yourself than make gains
Fitness is a marathon not a sprint, its mostly about how consistently you work over a long period of time
Also read the fucking sticky
>Over Head Press day yesterday
>Triceps sore today, but not deltoids
Wat? Am I doing it wrong?
>>41444823
Hard to say without having a video to see what you're doing.
Possibly going too close of a grip with the press or leaning back too far?
I would just chalk it up to, "I'm doing a compound lift." Sometimes everything progresses at similar rates, sometimes triceps fall behind, whatever. The weakest link is gonna be the thing you work the hardest.
Just keep it up.
>>41444839
I do the regular shoulders distance grip, or maybe a bit wider.
