IT'S NOT FAIR! I don't want to date women. I want a bearmode boyfriend to spoon at night. Gays don't know how easy they have it.

Who else here /injured back/ here? Started physical therapy last week, haven't been to the gym in 3 weeks. It isn't a herniated disc apparently (apparently a physical and an X-ray yielded enough evidence to rule it out) but it's been fucking my shit up since last November
>>41639201
been there lad.
its fucking hell.
practice form every session with no weight on the bar
use legpress if you can.
find whatever you do in your daily life that might damage your back, get a better chair or sit up straight at your computer, etc.
>>41639298
I cut out leg press after a while when my whole pelvic area began to cramp as I lowered the platform. Stopped lower body completely. When I got back home from university I finally had time to visit a physician and end up in pt where I belong. Can I ask how long you took to recover if you did? Did you do pt?
Shameful self-bump
What If your natty?
Who's done it before what were the results?

My coach says you can't really build muscle with McDonalds and other processed crap because no nutritional value, and that eating clean is the only way to get anywhere.
Did /fit/ lie to me?
food is food
if it has what you need, you are good
if you eat too much, no matter what, you will get fat
eating clean and eating "dirty" is a meme
Dirty bulk is a lie, you just shit everything
No, your coach is fucking retarded.
Can I pull off bale's haircut with that shitty hairline? I don't really have much patience to deal with hair.
Also JUST general

Is that Bale's haircut or is it just a buzz? hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

yeah. but the size can differ
No.
Bale has thick straight master race hair.
Yours look thin and wavey.
Hey everyone. First off, Wim Hof and his method are the shit
Secondly, I would like to share something amazing that just recently happened to me.
I've been doing Wim Hof's breathing technique for a few weeks, to wake up and to have really cold showers. His breathing method is basically deep hyperventilation through the mouth and mouth only for 30-40 breath then breath hold for as long as you're comfortable with (usually 3min for me at this point) and, at the moment you start holding your breath, you should feel tingling in your hands and minor dizziness.
What is happening in your body at this point, from what I know, is mainly getting rid of CO2 and stacking up on O2 in the body, resulting in your body being «overcharged» with oxygen but less able to use it due to lack of CO2 (what causes hypoxia during actual uncontrolled hyperventilation). But since you're then holding the breath, you're storing back up on CO2 slowly as your body naturally produces CO2 over time. Plus there is some kind of acidity reaction, apparently your body becomes more alkaline.
Usually, now that I know how this shit affects me, I don't count the breaths anymore but just wait for the appropriate tingling and dizziness before hold the breath.
So, back to what happened to me about an hour ago.
I just went to buy groceries at a store quite far away from my house. Like 8km back and forth, with a 140m elevation. I always do this trip by foot as some kind of extra cardio cause fuck cars for such small distances.
Cont...
>>41638902
Usually, this trip is still quite tiring, especially on the way back since it's always going up for the 140m elevation and I got between 5 to 10kg of groceries in my hands for the 4km there.
But I decided during my way back that I wanted to try something out. So I started doing «Wim Hof» breaths, and decided not to stop until I feel the usual tingling and/or dizziness. And I thought “Well, since I'll be removing CO2 and becoming more alkaline through this breathing but the fast walking with incline will increase CO2 production and produce lactic acid, how about I just go a bit faster and try to adapt the over-breathing by guessing, seeing how I feel during the trip”.
And so I did. And so I climbed this shit up power-walking like crazy, not feeling anything near as tired as I used to, running a bit just to see if I could still get my muscles tired and feel like I'm losing energy (and I did, so I stopped running). 4Km 140m incline about 20 minutes, sweating like crazy but not feeling tired of achy at any time.
Guess what ? I'm not quite good at cardio usually, been running for only about 2 months (but working out for about a year now) and when I came back to my place, I was sweaty as fuck but not out of breath at all. I just stopped over-breathing and went back to normal, slow and mildly deep nose breaths. My heart calmed down as you would expect, fast but not instantly.
So basically, my question is this : Did I just (almost) discover superhuman breathing or is this shit actually known by everyone here and/or all athletes (especially endurance) ?

Why are people shilling Zac Efron?
No saddos allowed, only people determined to improve and be the best and not for some "oneitis" or whatever. What gets you fucking hyped for the gym, why do you lift, goals, who do you look up to, etc.

Because it's the only thing I have in my life.
I've long realized it's completely pointless though, it doesn't make you better or more attractive, it's just a way to waste some time.
I wanna be a modern day Spartan warrior
If you need motivation you're never going to make it
Alright. Self conscious guy here. My entire life I've wanted to get into bodybuilding but have always found an obstacle in my way. I sit here at 22 years old and wonder is it even going to be worth it? Id like to know from any experienced bodybuilders here if it's even worth me trying to lift. Do I have any potential with my frame?
Id appreciate knowing if its just a pipe dream.
Guess not...
>>41638752
Your frame is fine. Your arms are small but they may respond really well to lifting. You won't know if you don't try. Bottom line? Yes, it's worth it.
Everyone says different things are bad ang good like wtf. are all carbs bad? or do you need carbs? ive quit sugars but what now. Shit is too confusing, is there any legit guide or book or whatever?

I sleep at least 8 hours every night, and feel like I get enough sleep, but I wake up 2-3 times every night.
It's probably because I use a lot of nicotine at night but I really don't want to stop. Also I drink so much water I always piss at least once during the night (not old man prostate dribble, but a full force flow of like a liter).
I always fall asleep immidiately afterwards without any trouble but are these interruptions bad for my sleep cycles and hormones etc.?
>>41638597
No its normal.
Humans in history, before the modern working week, never really slept a full uninterrupted 8 hours.
>>41638609
I know I've read about this meme cycle of getting up to have secks but what about the 4 hour REM cycle or whatever? Am I interrupting it constantly if I wake up every 2-3 hours?
>>41638597
if you're waking up between cycles i think you should be ok. but it sounds like you already know what's causing the disruptions and you know what you should do to stop it
polyphasic sleep is only common in places where its dark for a long period of time. assuming you're exposed to artificial lighting you shouldn't be sleeping polyphasicly
About to got the gym the first time

Hey, LOSERS. I just benched 67.5kg for one rep, and I've only been lifting for a month.
It literally takes YEARS for most people to even come close to benching 1 pl8, yet here I am, going well over that within a month.
You really should get on gear if you ever hope to outmatch me.
Pic related, it's my chest after the workout. I'm probably going to shower and go fuck a girl from tinder after this
>>41638526
Holy shit.
Natty?
I've been trying to get a 1pl8 bench for like 2 years now, with benching 3x per week. I'm at the end of my tether and considering roids.
>>41638537
Look. Some people have the genes, some don't.
The truth is - most don't. You can always hop on gear or become a trap, dude.
Are people this weak normally? I think I underestimate my strength if people think 70kg is impressive for one rep.
