Do "Couch to 5k".

Don't worry about miles. Just build your volume of total minutes run each week.

Start 3 times per week for 15-20 minutes.

Add 5 minutes per run each week, and when you get to 30 minutes, add a day and go back down to 20 minutes.

When you can run 30 minutes per day for 5 days per week, then you can start adding more specific workouts. Long run, tempo, intervals, fartlek, striders, etc.

Also, enter a race now at the end of the year to hold your fat ass accountable.

I'm going to be starting 5/3/1 and it calls for 5 sets of 15 for some of the assistance work. I rarely see routines with reps that high and it'll require light weights. What's the reason for the high reps?

Hypertrophy? I'm used to 3x8 or 4x10. Always thought 15 reps were for endurance. And this strength routine calls for 5x15! Confusing to me.

Hello /fit/, behold my current routine I'm with regularly, three days each week. Not used to exercise and beginner, I don't want to end like Zyzz (I mean, dead lol) and I simply want a healthy defined body, nothing enormous. Besides, I repeat: I'm beginner, so:

-10 min bicycle with some resistance (I prefer this rather than spending more time)
-15 minutes of articular movements and stretchings of all my body
-2x20 abdominal isometrics

What would you change? What do you think?

Two questions:
How long have you been on the program?
How long has it been since you exercised, before this program?

btw, your program looks more like cardio.
Cardio is good in it's own right...
And stretching is good in it's own right.

But get some resistance training in there.
Actually exert yourself, and feel something called intensity.

You almost have what I call The Ideal Program

I've noticed a common trend, that every time a new trip comes along everyone just flames them incessantly. Everyone on here wonders why this board has gone to shit and wonders why theres no actual good info on /fit/ but like 5 years ago there used to be several trips who were actually experienced and provided good info. Now every time a new trip comes along they are shooed away by people trying to attack them with their personal info and they just get attacked regardless of how much good info they provide.

Help me turn my body around.

I'm 18, 183cm tall and I weigh 82kg.

Ever since I remember I was fat. I never had the motivation to play sports in school and eat healthy. I always ate unhealthy shit and now I really
regret it and I'd like to change it.

I don't know where to start.

I live in a small village and there is no gyms or anything here. I will have a driving license next month so it'd be possible to lift.

What should I do?
How should I start?
What should I eat?

If someone did a wholebody routine of nothing but 1 compound exercise each for legs chest, back and shoulders...no direct arm work...something like starting strength I guess but better balanced in terms of set numbers to avoid t-rex mode...what would they look like? Has anyone ever done something like this?
