Armwrestling thread


How much do you think a man has to max dumbell curl with one arm to be a freak at armwrestling ?

Id say 45/50 kg strict, without trowing the weight like a fag, and if its a kettbel and not a dumbell better, because it puts more stress on forearms and wrists like real armwrestling does

What do you think ?

I think someone with that strenght with good technique and practice could be a pro with no probs

It's not all forearm and bicep though. Every stabilizer muscle in your arm is used probably close to maximally, and if your shoulder is weak it won't matter how much you can curl. I'd imagine there's a lot of lat involement and some chest as well.
That said, if you can curl 100 pounds strict with one hand, you're probably going to be a pretty good arm wrestler because you'll certainly be strong as fuck everywhere unless you're curlbro God

It's organic dog food that I got at my local farmers market but it seems like it would be amazing for gains. It's a mix of potatoes and beef and it's super cheap like only like 2 dollars a pound. I could get all my protein in my diet for super cheap. What would be the downsides? My Rottweiler seems to love it he has gotten pretty muscular since I started feeding him this.

How do you eat your daily sardines?
For me, its in olive oils and filets. The full fish looks gross so i prefer fillets. Olive oil makes it taste better.

imo there is absolutely no reason to use chunk tuna in the year 2017. Get sardines for a snack, or canned salmon for cooking.

Hey /fit/, fatfuck here. I have a question though I've read the sticky I've lurked and I'm ready to commit however right now I can only afford either a gym membership or invest in a quality diet.

I'm 6'2 270 and the goal right now is just to lose around 40-50 pounds of fat and just build on muscle as I go. However like I said I can only really afford one or the other (there is only anytime fitness and the YMCA where I live). Is it viable to rely on body weight exercise and save up for free weights as I go?


If so what are some great body weight routines that you guys would recommend? Thanks for any help or suggestions.

Full run down is as follows.

1,980 gross income a month (paid bi-weekly)

With bills being 1,320 (Car, utilities, rent, insurance, phone, this does not include gas though which would likely be an additional 160 a month)

For a remainder of 250 each check give or take.

Right now my main source of food is from where I work at (I'm a dept. manager at a mcdonalds so I can get a free meal, which I would start opting for a salad w/ grilled chicken and only balsamic or Italian to help with costs) I would need to start clipping coupons though to see how much I would spend on actual groceries.

In regards to the gym the YMCA is around 45 a month, so while it isn't bad it isn't great either although it has more weight lifting options than anytime fitness (lifting platforms etc.). I'm pretty sure anytime fitness is either the same price or slightly cheaper I would have to setup an appointment though to find out.

I have this in my school gym, it's a sprint machine. You can set the air resistance and then sprint as many steps as you want on it. Gives your thighs a good burn. I use it to train for rugby.
