I'm having a bit of an existential crisis, fitbros.

I work in a pipe mill 10 hours a day, 6 days a week. After work, I go to the gym for 2 hours. I come home and eat dinner, shitpost online for an hour or so, and go to bed. I go out on Saturday maybe once a month. On Sundays, I'll get pizza with my brother and his girlfriend, maybe hang out with some friends, and watch a movie. Twice a month my girlfriend who goes to school out of province will come over for the weekend.

Is this life? Is this it? What more is there to do? How can I experience more out of life? I tell myself that getting fucking huge and shredded is all that matters right now, that this is only temporary – but I feel like I am only telling myself this in order to dangle a carrot to get me out of bed every day.

In short – how to get more out of life, especially one with a poor work/life balance?

This is the worst part – I dream of comfortable mediocrity.

I dream of earning $50 000 a year working 40 hours a week, of living in a $200 000 home in a quiet neighbourhood, of driving a 10 year old car that gets good gas mileage. I think I might honestly just be boring, which is terrifying.

As above, after some time you get used to it. First few weeks i got immense energy spike at around 6-7 a.m and then i became tired for the next 3-4 hours. Now it's normal.

Now here's a question, what should i do about my diddly: At around 3 rep of 180 lbs my fingers just can't hold the weight anymore. I have no problem picking the weight up, but i just can't hold it. Should i switch the grip ? Or just train my forearms more ?

I would suggest jaw surgery or jaw implants for you ( to get a bigger jaw) , some tanning, apply lil bitof vaseline on your eyebrows and eyelashes before you sleep every night to darken and thicken the eyebrows and eyelashes, build a thick neck and weightlift to get a bigger frame ( i assume you want aesthetics so you get PPL and add some pullups in the routine), grow out your hair to make it long top and short sides


Lose the pimples and find a good skincare routine

How do I get a friend to lift and into a more positive mindset? I dont wanna ask in /adv/ since they're full of cucks and women.

The guy was a total baller when he was a teenager, but then he failed his college degree and now at 26 he is getting fatter and fatter, and is becoming more and more of a social recluse. How do I start him on a path to making it without being condescending or sounding like an ass?

I can't seem to get a concrete answer to this.

To gain lean muscle, should I have a calorie deficit or surplus?

I'm 5'8", about 127 lbs, and I've been doing calisthenics fairly hard for a little over a year. While I've definitely gained muscle (I was extremely weak when I started), I want to go further - I find myself at somewhat of a plateau at the moment.

Right now I'm eating about 2500 calories a day (and not gaining weight, probably due to my ridiculous metabolism and profession). Should I eat more to help gain more muscle? Or should I eat less so the muscle I do have shows better? It seems everyone I ask tells me something different.

I don't want to gain bulk, I just want to look lean and muscular, something like Chris Heria or Brad Pitt in Fight Club. Something along those lines.
