Whats better for my isolation exercises after my compound exercises.

4x12 or 3x8? I am on full body and some said 4x12 is too much. 3x8 would make add quite a bit of weight but dunno if that would matter a lot with less overall volume

So I'm now at about 210lbs for 3 sets of 5 on (cheat) bent over rows but I can't progress any further because my grip keeps giving out at 3 to 4 reps which forces me to kinda squatdown and rest the bar on my quads so I can readjust my grip. Should I get straps or is my grip just too weak and I should work on it directly? Would chalk help me? Any advice is appreciated

I can swim 50m for about 50 secsish at full speed. am I being too slow?

No. Don't expect times to improve in leaps and bounds in the pool in a short time frame - focus on your technique and breathing as opposed to flailing your arms in attempt of gaining speed. Good technique is speed.

I swim regularly, I tend to stick to longer distances though as swimmings my main excercise (10, or 12.5k a week). I use this time to improve my stroke and to ensure my form is spot on. Don't do sprint sessions all too often, but my brother timed me at 14 seconds for 25m, so I'm probably at around 28/30 seconds for 50m.

Also, if you see good swimmers in the pool with you, ask them for advice. People who swim are usually friendly and experienced, and having that advice will be largely beneficial for your own swimming.

As ever, make sure you're eating lots of protein for that quick recovery and STAY HYDRATED. Often overlooked. Enjoy your swim OP

Saw some posts about calithenics and it got me interested. Started looking around and found this routine, how's it look?

Mon/Wed/Fri
Push ups, 3 sets, max reps

Single Leg Squats, 3 sets, 3 max reps

Ham-Glute Raises, 3 sets, max reps

Yeah progression is pretty GOAT. It's recommended a lot on /fit/. I use it as well and can vouch for it
Hopefully they implement a way to send programs to other people one day because that'd be a really good for online strength coaches and individual programs

Are very low calorie diets really that dangerous if you are 60+ pounds overweight? I planned to eat 500 calories a day for 2 months straight. I should lose at least 20 pounds during this. Everywhere I read says that I will literally die if I attempt this or have several health complications.

Is it really that bad?

Hello /fit/,
I've been fat all my life.
at age 18 i was 175cm tall and was 100kg.
i got diagnosed with a thyroid underfunction, got medication and lost 15 kgs in a span of two months.

now im 21 and im still sitting at 83 KG's .
im going to go to australia in 3 months as a Backpacker, so i want to get down to 75 kg.
the main problem i have with losing weight is that i smoke weed evey day, during the day i dont eat much but when i come home in the evening i smoke a joint and turn into another person and stuff my face with calories. Also drank about 4 Beer a day the last months, but i stopped doing that 2 weeks ago and feel much better already.

i dont want to stop to smoke since its like a medication, but i also dont wanna go to a country where ill spend lots of time at the beach and be a fat fuck.
got any tips for me on how to keep losing weight and keep my discipline? or is stopping to smoke the only way?

My schedule is fucked and I can only get to the gym to lift 1x per week. I can do cardio and calisthenics, but lifting is unfortunately limited.

What should I do on my 1 lifting day to make the most of it? I'm planning on hitting the barbell compounds, but should I do more volume to make up for the infrequency?
