there, are you happy?

I'm actually with you OP. Not that I defend that morbid obesity doesn't have any health effects, but I agree on the fact that our aesthethic canon and goals is nothing else than a fetish that doesn't have much in common with "health" (as healthy as cardiovascular exercice can be, weightlifting and bodybuilding isn't necessarily, and can be somewhat detrimental). Keeping that in mind, it would benefit this board to stop pushing the need to follow the actual body trends as an ethic imperative and instead focusing on the relativity of fetishes we and everyone embrace.

Those who don't get it probably never will. Leave the ascended alone, your opinions do not matter to them.

How many of you autists live here in NZ? How many live in wellington specifically? To keep it fitness related, whats better for building a stronger back over all, Trap bar dead lifts or standard dead lifts?
Sir, this is a drive through.

Palmy reporting in with a binge eating disorder!
I got a hernia from squats, and now it's fixed. How do I not get another one? To strengthen my abs even more I need to lift as hard as I can to damage the muscles, nothing about this adds up. Does leg angle matter?
So that this all makes sense I'm going to set up a bit of backstory before I ask my dumbass question to y'all.
Me and my friends get together every weekend for some bare knuckle boxing, wrestling, and laughing at boxing/MMA highlights.
Last week we all ended up getting a little drunk after I landed a right cross on my buddy and broke the fuck out of his nose. I helped fix it, and he got to hit me wherever as payback. I thought it was only fair since he's got to explain to his boss why he looks like he got mugged over the weekend.
So I figured him being the guy he was he would kick me so hard in the balls my ancestors would feel it, so as I brace for the hit he moves to my left and gets in five left hooks to my ribcage, each one hurting a little more than the last, after which we just sort of gave up on FC rules and straight up beat the piss out of each other.
So I have rather badly bruised ribs. But I'm not a baby so I still went I the gym and would try to do my normal routine. Found that the pain would cause me to tap out around set 15, leaving 5 entire sets of whatever the fuck (in this case it was chest, then bicep, then shoulders) I had left to do completely unfinished and me feeling like an heroing.
Stupid question is, should I keep lifting as normal or should I rest and let my ribs heal? If anyone could give me some advice too on lifting with an injury I would really appreciate it.
You guys should stop being animals and then wait until you are both 18 of age for the starters. Until then, go see a doctor and have an xray or shit.

I'm 24 and my buddy is 27, we're all within at least four years of each other.
I was thinking about going to see a doctor, but I've broken ribs before and it doesn't feel like they're busted, just bruised. I'll go anyway though lol, worst that could happen is he says I've wasted his time.
Yeah I have three broken ribs fml
Sup faggets.
Had a football match couple weeks ago, long story short I busted my shoulder, kept playing and then busted my hamstring (old injury). Thing I'm concerned about is my chest. Shoulder still hurts moderately and it's fucking annoying as fuck. Any chest exercises I can do without straining the shoulder?
Halp please.

Hey /fit/, skinny guy here.
I heard that skinny dudes should do exercises of 3-4 sets of about 6-12 reps to gain muscle mass. I can reach my limit with about 3x10 diamond push ups or 3x7 chin ups. Is it worth buying a gym membership, or should I continue to do body weight exercises until I need more than 3x12 reps to reach my limit?
Thanks in advance, I appreciate your advice.

>I heard that
From who?
You should eat more, and hit the gym, do compound lifts like squats, bench, OHP and deadlifts. Read the sticky and do Starting Strength for a few months. As a newbie you should focus on adding weights to the bar and stay in the 3 sets, 5 reps range. Your gains with bodyweight exercises will be very slow and unbalanced.

Ffs lad, if you have questions like this ask it in a qtddtott, or create one if needs be. If anyone else has any beginner questions ask them here.
As for your question, I was in a similar position and I when I started lifting everything increased rapidly. It even became easier to eat more food. Do greyskull LP
What staple /fit foods can I eat when I'm poor?
a bullet
Oats

steel cut oats, broccoli, rice, chicken breast, you don't need anything else really but yogurt/cottage cheese is good if you can afford it.
Let's settle this. Are asymmetric abs just based on insertions and thus genetics or does your exercice and posture have any form of effect on them? Is there anybody that got to correct their abs based on specific routines? If so, pictures of before and after algong with tips would be appreciated.
I have pretty defined abs and adonis rim, but my gut is bulging out? Im not on ugh and I dont do crossfit

Do vacums

Very possible you just don't have them trained tight at all. Do you ever do vacuums?

I go with Kirkland multigrain bread. It's all whole grain and there's more fiber than sugar preventing the blood sugar spike. Without a blood sugar spike there's no excess energy to be turned into fat.
What is up famalam ?
Eurofag running back here trying to reach new heights during my offseason.
I'm already doing a PPLx2 so the lifting part is pretty assured, but for speed and conditioning I am doing 80-120 meters sprints, 12 to 16 reps, 3 times a week. Is that enough, or too much as I am 6'1 225 lbs ?
Also general advice on football offseason
