Anyone here take Epsom Salt baths? Heard they're beneficial but can't find anything solid on it.

Yup. Good for muscle soreness. Don't care if it's a placebo or not, either way it works for me.
>>
I used to take them on my last hard running days before races. Pretty relaxing.

>>41873590
How often do you take them? I'm thinking like 3 times a week every second day and the rest I just take cold showers.

All you need is 2-3 liters a day, bit more if you are training on that specific day or it's very hot outside and you are losing fluids.

People who drag around jugs are morons who can barely squat 2pl8.

I drink more than a gallon without even trying.

Yeah man. I am pretty close if not a bit bigger than his physique in the first film but in the next films his level of size and definition is crazy.

Jarrow is pretty cheap. Good quality, too. Best part is that the unflavored has very little sugar.

thanks bro, 22 bucks is cheap enough, and after all every protein does the same

That's still $20 for two pounds which is pretty standard. Target has Market Pantry brand for $17.50 for two pounds.

How the fuck do you eat well working 12 hour graveyard shifts?
I work 12 hours, sleep 9, which leaves me three hours to eat, shower, commute, etc.
6pm-6am.

Whoops forgot some: I'm currently having the world's thickest protein shake for my 'lunch,' along with a piece of fruit.
Google gives me 'just prepare meals, bruh!' but I don't have anywhere to keep them.
Tl;Dr how do I defeat the gains goblin that is long shift work.
>>
>>41873054
Carry shit in Tupperware and eat it throughout your shift
>>
HIIT workout. 1 minute per set, less than 1 minute test per set. Do core compound lifts, maybe an accessory.
Bulk cook foods, defrost/heat up as needed. Or get use to eating cold meals.

Completely doable if you truly want to lift. Your life will be waking up, wolfing down food (get greek yogurt, super easy to eat and can have good machros), going to work, eating lunch, coming home, lifting as quick as possible, eating food, then sleeping. Rinse repeat. If you want to use your few hours doing something else, lifting is not for you and you will never make it.

Hey /fit/, I'm trying to put on a little muscle this summer, and I was wondering if swimming was a good way to go about it. What's a good routine? Are there any particular strokes I should focus on?

Swimming does put a lot of stress n your muscles, and will make you get gains.

That being said, swimming is hyper-cardio. So if you want gains you need to eat like a fucking bear. My advice is to stick to lifting
>>
>>41873067
I do eat a lot, but I'm assuming you're talking about mostly healthy food.
>>
>>41873045
I'm a squad swimmer, haven't competed for a while though.

From experience, swimmings a terrible way to build muscle because I guarantee you won't be able to eat enough to increase your weight. If I were you I'd supplement swimming with weight training at least 3 times a week and make sure you eat like a monster.

Best strokes for muscle would probably be front crawl and fly, as they're the strokes where you'll be shifting the most water and putting the most power into moving. Ultimately though, it is only resistance training, so you'll never make as much gains as you could just lifting - I learnt that the hard way after I wasted 6 months just swimming and barely got any bigger.

Hey fit, framelet here. I have incredibly small wrists, forearms, calves, etc. my proportions look good, and when I'm looking at a mirror alone, I look great. When I'm next to someone else, however, I can tell how tiny I am. How much can my frame improve through lifting. How much of a limitation will this pose for lifting? I'm certain that there's no way that I could reach the same potential as someone with huge wrists.

Why exactly do so many young men have underdeveloped frames? Especially underdeveloped wrist seem highly apparent.

I can't speak for anyone else, but personally I think it's a combination of genetics and not eating enough while I was growing, although I don't know if there's anything to back that up

Everyone says vitamins are mostly worthless if you are eating fine, but what if you're just a neet that only eats chicken and drinks water? Would a multi vitamin be a good idea?

Beta leftist spotted

starting a new thing here, bulgarian general
discuss lifting every day, tips, progress or questions about maxing out on random lifts for a week or two then picking a new one.

/bgg/ guidelines
>choose a lift that isnt hard on the lower back
>athletic movements
>new pr every day
>no days off

A lot of this doesn't really have anything to do with bulgarian.
>>
doesn't he do a shitload of other lifts before doing his one max lift per day? i don't see how that sustainable on a daily basis unless you're on roids.
>>
>>41872714
It's a daily max, not a true max, and it is generally a good idea to do whatever assistance work you decide to do/have energy to do AFTER your maxes.
