After 3ish weeks of lifting and better diet, this is me. Definitely not where i want to be but its better at least. Advice appreciated.
You aren't going to notice jack shit after 3 weeks, kid.
Come back in 6-7 months.
>>41933197
Fuck of and keep lifting, what the fuck.
>>41933211
Shit, that long? Im totally new to this. 6-7 to notice any change at all or 6-7 to get swole?
Tell me why my logic is wrong.
I spent several months bulking up and eating nearly 4k-5k calories a month, while making consistent muscle gains and gaining fat.
I now can lift pretty heavy.
Explain to me why a 15 day fast to lose 20 lbs is wrong. I have watched a video of a man do it. I am not sure of the legitimacy of the video, but I am post on the presumption that it is true.
If you can use fat as energy instead of glycogen, then why is it worse than calorie restricting diet?
It seems like eating 1500 calories for 6 months would do more damage to my muscles than a 15 day fast. I plan on doing multiple fasts, just not consecutively.
Video of a guy fasting for 15 days:

I fasted for a week and couldn't go any longer. Put most of the wieght back on too, I have a lot harder time comtrolling what I eat now
>>41932973
Just do it under medical observation. You need to take supplements to prevent malnutrition and monitor your body functions by a professional.
stop looking for some idiot to convince you otherwise
there's literally NOTHING wrong with fasting
its the GOAT. do it as long as you can last to lose all the fat you need to. there is no adverse effects and you damn sure won't be losing muscle mass.
im going on vacation soon and won't have access to a gym or any equipment. what is a good calisthenics routine i can do? (no pullups etc unfortunately)
aye what u doin here girl

What do you guys think?
Im skinny and can't gain on my current diet, high ass metabolism.
Bump for interest. I am losing the battle.
>>41932196
Waste of money. The main ingredient in all those mass gainers is malodextrin, which you can get for cheap and just add milk, peanut butter, whey protein, whatever.

i think if you dont count your calories youre never going to make it. eating is easy you pussy, espcially if youre american
What type of weightlifting routines did they put you on? And did you get a lot of pussy?
Basically just strength program 5x5. Arm day was bench and incline bench, leg day was power clean and squats.
On each day after core lifts did other accessories like skullcrushers and lunges.
Other days were sprint work/gassers.
Not fun in Arkansas Summer at 90-100 degrees and 80% humidity
Anybody play(ing) in college and wanna share routine?

Did u guys do neck training
thick necks make football players more masculine than 60 percent of gym weighlifters

Hey sips bros. Recently I got into sips and I love it, meme aside they're great and its a good way to indulge without messing up my diet. better than coffee too cause it doesn't stain my teeth
Problem is I'm an ausfag and I can't find sips anywhere, local gas shop has only orange for 5 fucking dollaridoos a damn can, and I'm uni so it ain't possible.
Fellow aus sips, where can I get different flavours? I want to try each one and I'm not fussed about buying in bulk if its the only way.
Coles.
Ausfag here.
You can get 4 packs for $7-$11 depending on specials from Woolworths + Coles.
If you're in Uni, might be worth the Costco membership (think it's $80) for savings on groceries and stuff too.
Failing that, 24packs at Costco are like $10 if you happen to live near one.
>>41931938
Can't fucking believe I haven't been to coles yet. Thanks for reminding me that exists, I only ever shop at woolies so I forget often.
What flavours they got?

Is it true going vegan will help you get gains?
Doesn't help (or hurt) gains, but it means you're a lot less likely to die of cancer, diabetes, or heart disease.
In a sense yes but for the most part its cutting the shit our of your diet.
>>41931587
no but it will help you in tactical situations where you need to camouflage yourself in green environments, natural camo.

hey guys!
so following the strong curves template of:
>1: glute dominant exercise
>2: horizontal pull or verticle pull exercise
>3: quad dominant exercise
>4: horizontal press or verticle press exercise
>5: hip dominant, straight-leg hip dominant, or hamstring dominant exercise
>6: glute accessory exercise
>7: linear core exercise
>8: lateral or rotary core exercise
i tried to piece together a routine using the exercises found in the strong curves book that i can do as i slowly add to my home gym. assuming i can find some sort of suspension system that works with my doorframe pullup bar thing, here it is (next post because 4chan says is too long):
but i have questions about this. what's the point of the ABC format in the first place? the way the baseline programs in the book are presented makes me think that "easier" exercises were chosen on the B and C days. and when bret recommends an A B cardio A C cardio rest week i'm wondering if the exercises i've chosen will give me proper rest time. would it be better to just train 3 days a week with a day in between? this summer i actually have time to workout 6 days a week and kinda wanted to until classes start again in august but idk. why does bret recommend strength training 2 days in a row twice each week, when other resources recommend taking off more time between days to recover?
also i really want to get to hip thrusts soon and want something more sturdy than a basic bench, like what you can find here: https://www.thehipthruster.com/
but is there something similar to this that won't set me back $600? i'm sort of willing to spend the $600 soonish to get back to hip thrusts if that's what it takes, knowing i'll get years of use out of it. but that's a steep price lol.
okay thanks guys i love you! <3

oh one more thing lol sorry. i worry about my posture and getting decent back exercises in. do you think this program would be sufficient? bret lists chin ups as a back exercise and advises you pull your sternum up to the bar but i can't seem to get up there like that. chin ups have always seems more like straight arms exercises to me.
