>skinny manlet friend who goes to the gym with me bragging that he can do 100 pushups
>I can only do 30
>ask how much he weights
>22 less kg than me
>put a 20kg plate on his back
>he can't even do 10 with proper form

Try this. The results are pretty funny.

>its another dyel lanklet vs dyel manlet episode

181cm and 87kg. He says he's 173cm and 65kg.

>Been lifting for a year and making decent progress - DYEL by /fit/ standards, but may make it one day
>Always had tense, overly developed shoulders despite not working them out. Not sure why, but girlfriend comments on this frequently when giving me massages
>inb4 normie - she's submissive Asian I met online
>Anyways, finished my week on Friday and was taking the weekend off
>Sunday comes and I wake up not able to move my head without it hurting badly
>WTF?
Did not expect. I didn't even work out Saturday
>Pain is radiating from upper back through the neck
>This has happened before after some intense yard work and went away in about four days >Trying to tough through it again, but this time it seems to be getting worse not better - actually nauseous from the pain
>Always avoided the doc because they typically do fuck all, say "take it easy" and "here's some pills" as their course of treatment
>Don't do pills
>Decide to go to the doc anyways because can barely move
>Tell doc the issue
>Doc asks if I workout
>Tell doc I do deadlifts, squats, bench, and accessory work four days a week
>Doc says he is tired from me describing my routine
>ohyou.gif
>cont.

>Doc has me raise my arms and feels my back muscles
>Tells me I am very muscular and tense - especially my upper back
>Blush
>Tells me my traps are causing the problem
>You calling me gay, bro?
>Says I need to take some anti-inflammatory steroids to reduce swelling - 6 pills a day
>Tells me I need to take muscle relaxants to reduce the tension on the muscle - more pills
>Tells me I need to take a month off of working out or work lower body only
>Says I need to avoid any exercise with weight on the shoulders or involving shoulder contractions going forward (squats, flies, etc.)
>Thank doc, say I don't do pills, and nope the fuck out after a quick steroid shot in the ass from the cutie nurse
>Leave the doc with a sore ass, less money, feeling no better, and advice to stop working out

So I know the doctor has literally trained to do this over the course of years, but I feel like doctors often don't understand weight lifting in general if they don't do it themselves. I also don't feel like not doing squats or shoulder contractions anymore makes any sense at all. I also don't understand how I went two full days with zero issues and then out of nowhere I end up in snap city? Can anyone who has gone through something similar give me a better course of action? I am not sure what's worse - the pain in my neck or the pain of no gains.
>pic somewhat related
TL:DR - Doc says my traps are too tight and I shouldn't work them out anymore. Anyone out there whose gone through something similar have a better course of action?
>>
>>42119047
It's one fucking month, rest up and you'll be back in shape in no time. It's a much smarter to rest on an injury than force yourself to work out and potentially make it worse.

Serious question about nofap and test levels.
Am i gonna lose test/ fail nofap if I have sex with a lovedoll (pic related)? Or will my body read it as sex with a real woman and not making me feel depressed after cumming?

Holy shit, it took me way to long to realise that I was looking at a doll. I seriously wanted to ask her name. I can only imagine what the future will bring. Born to early for human like sex robots. Fml.

Dont worry robot technologie is advancing rather quick. Yku might not get a full human AI equivalent in 10 years but good enoigh for a robot sexdoll.

Man, I love this shit. Gains going up, sex drive going up, depression decreasing. This stuff is God's gift to earth.

Are Strength and Power the same thing, /fit/?
19 posts and 4 images submitted.
>>
>>42118784
I would say power is mostly used to describe explosive strenght. Which is funny because powerlifting is not explosive
>>
Power is just strength applied quickly
>>
>>42118784
no
strength is resistance to deformation
power is work divided by time

in your tard coloquial terms theyre still not the same but power requires a lot of strength

It's not that bad, I can see my abs when I flex, but this fucking stubborn fat won't go away, even with a calorie deficit. Slowly starting to think all my attempts are futile. wHAT DO LADS being skinny fat is the absolute worst thing

Can someone explain the crossfit meme? Why do you guys make fun of them?

I don't go but this guy I worked with always brags about going. What is it and why do you guys hate it? Does it work?

It's a very beneficial thing to do, but most people dog on it because as you said, it seems like people who do it always brag about it. That and the stupid meme pullups.

If you're concerned about going in, then consider your butt fucked already

I wanted to make this thread so that people can ask general questions about cardio. I'll go first:

I'm 6'2, 300lbs, and I lift 3x a week.

In between lifting I do: 1 hour of cardio and my heart rate is usually 175 to 180bpm.

Now, I read this post on quora:

https://www.quora.com/When-I-run-or-exercise-is-a-180-bpm-pulse-normal-Is-it-safe

And it scared the shit out of me when I read this:
>Have you noticed that when you get home from your runs, you usually eat or drink something before you are even out of your running clothes? This is because you are utilizing the sugar through your high-intensity efforts and the body then craves the same in its depleted state. These up and down insulin spikes are what causes 30-40 year old marathon runners to die of cardiac arrest or develop diabetes.

This is basically what happens to me. I instantly crave sugar after spending an hour on the elliptical doing 5 miles+

Is there any truth to this post?

Do I need to tone it down with my cardio or face seriously health issues? What should I do?

Marathon runners don't typically hit 180 bpm afaik... usually closer to 140-160.
>>
>>42118115
that makes sense, but that's because their hearts are used to such exertion and therefore can maintain lower heart rates isnt it?

So my heart rate should get lower as I work out more and more? And my body adjusts? Is this even possible?
