Last running thread hit the bump limit so here's a new one.

>Been running 1.5 miles year and a bit, started at 15 minutes

Are protein shakes really necessary? I eat 2lb of chicken breast and 2lb protein rich greens a day. I don't understand the obsession with protein shakes.

Do I pull the bar down, pull my self up or do a bit of both? From personal experience, I think that I could do either depending on what I focus on doing although I don't know how the mechanics would be different, is this evidence of telekinesis?

Just resting is almost as effective in recovering your body as sleep is. Actual sleep is mainly important for the brain. But there is no way you can have effective lifting sessions on 3 hours of sleep. You"ll be too tired and unmotivated.
