>healthy diet, eat grilled fish and meat, veggies, oats, snack with fruit and veg
>running 2/3x a week, sprinting 3x a week, bar workouts 2-3x a week, push ups, sit ups etc 5x a week
>have temporary psychosis in January, be hospitalised till March
>come out
>move back with parents
>on strong medication
>no will to exercise, eat healthy or anything
>eat junk food, ice cream whenever I want, eat heavy sandwiches, big portions for lunch and dinner, snack on sweets
>now closer to weighing 98kg/220lb, clothes not fitting, strong belly
how badly did I fuck up ? I know it sounds weak as fuck but the past few months were a blur, I literally didn't give a shit about what I was eating, I was just going through the motions. Mentally I was not all there. I've recovered now, and I'm going back to law school at the end of the month. Started eating better and exercising a bit.
Just wanna know how badly I fcked up ? How much damage have I done to my body ?
The doctors actually told me I should be more carefree with the chocolate and stuff because of the serotonin or some shit to help me feel happy, because the meds I were on completeley zoned me out.
In thinking about getting a Personal Training certificate from NASM before I go to school next year. Can anyone who has experience in training/rehabilitation give me some pointers? I really want to start working as a PT aide or in therapy offices to start getting experience. But my concern is if getting this certificate is worth it.
The way I see it, if I have a certificate I have something to show potential employers that I have some kind of skill set while I go to school. I'm tired of retail and it seems like no one wants to hire a college student who hasn't graduated yet, unless they have a certificate or license.
It's an excellent certification that isn't completed over a weekend. I would pursue the corrective exercise specialist cert as well. From there read books by Stuart McGill and Kelly (how to be a supple leopard). You get really into corrective exercise and physical therapy, read Shirley Sarman. I also enjoy Eric cressey and Jim smith from dieselcrew.com.
