Want to get a home gym going. Got about $500AUD to spend (I think that's around 350 USD)
I have literally nothing at the moment.
Thinking a barbell/plates and a bench or chin up rack.
Is there anything wrong with these options?
Bar and bench seems like enough to do a pretty basic full body split. Probably get dumbells as well.
Also, post pics of your home gyms

If i stop squatting will I regain the height that I lost? I haven't been lifting for long and mostly swim but I'm a 5'9 manlet already and a woman I know said I looked shorter.

I know it's a little off, moreso health than fitness, but i figure this would be the closest match.
I've gained warts, i guess they are, in my fingers, and I'm not sure what to do. A lot of articles tell me this and tell me that, like dandelions and stuff, and WebMD tells me i have gonorrhea.
No matter what is is, what does /fit/ suggest?

I had one on my foot. I went to doctor who tried freezing it and cutting it out, then had me try those acid patches. It grew back every time.

I tried duct tape because I was desperste. I kept it on there for like a month. Only replace the tape when you have to, and change it as fast as possible. That worked, and it hasn't come back (2 years now).

It looks nasty as the tape kills it, and smells like satans butthole, but it works.

So I leg press 12pl8 not so super impressive but I'm definitely strong in the quads and the hammies. I go to pf (because I'm poor and other memberships are $50-$60 here). I can only squat with a smith machine and I can only do like 150. What the hell? I go ass to grass on both seated press and squats.

Looking through Craiglists to find dumbells/barbells, is $125 a good price for this?

I have a jump rope, 20 lbs dumbell weights, and a padded mat for sit-ups. Can I make any worthwhile progress by doing push-ups, overhead press, bent-over rows, and curls with the dumbells?

I also cannot go jogging because I live in a high-crime area with pitbulls every 10 feet. Is jump-roping a good alternative to jogging?
