has anyone gotten good arm development without direct arm work?
no
ive tried doing this and your arms will just not grow nearly as fast as you chest and back without direct arm work
just save yourself the time and trouble of having a barrel chest with lanklet arms and do direct arm work
i used to hate it because it felt "bro tier" but now i couldnt give less of a fuck so i work my arms just as much as my chest, back, and legs
>chest pain after eating
Does this happen to anyone else?
try chewing your food champ
if youre worried change something, get in tune with what you feel your body needs and make some changes.
So I started running like 2 months ago. Lately, as I've increased the mileage, I've started to get a lot of pain in my lower legs. Not like muscular pain, it lasts for a long time, even when I'm no longer running and it feels like it comes from the inside of the calf. Someone can tell me how to avoid it? is it normal?
2 months isnt awfully long so your body could still just be getting used to it. other than that make sure your form is good, good cadence, footstrike, hip movement ect. warm up before your runs, stretch after. invest in good shoes
could be shin splints
ice
t. cross country runner
stretch
well /fit/?
why aren't you doing this superior form of cardio?
none of you will ever make it

how to do this
>>42156950
instead of doing chin ups with two arms, do them with one arm. if you can't do it, jump up and attempt to let yourself down slowly. build up the amount of repetitions over time, make sure to do it with both arms to keep balanced.
you'll achieve it within 6-8 weeks if you're consistently upping reps 3 times a week.
>>42157136
can you do this? because i doubt that is a good way to learn one arm chinup and that you are talking out of your ass
>>42157136
>>42157728
actually i am 100% sure you can not do 1 armed chinup
that is the most retarded advice ever and you will get injured if you try to do that

I live in England and wanted to know if I can still keep pork faggots in my diet while I cut. I read pork is a good source of lean protein.
>>42156878
This meme is staler than the taste of chicken breast on a cut
>>42156878
No, pork is haram and under the Shariah Law of the Islamic Kingdom your life is forfeited should someone catch you with the faggots in your home
Faggots are great for traps.
So /fit/ I fucked up. Basically I work at a camp and live there for the weeks I work. The food they serve is carb loaded garbage and i have gained abt 3 pounds this week. I feel like shit and need to bounce back from this . What is the best way to get motivated back into cutting like a mf?

>There are few things graven in stone, except that you have to squat or you're a pussy.
truth right here
>>42156861
how do i learn how to squat if my body just physically stops before parallel even.
doesn't feel too heavy, just can't go lower.
>>42156909
get a coach (a starting strength coach)
>>42156909
learn to slav squat
no weights
instead of sitting on chairs with your ass, "sit" with your feet
actually squat down on the ground
will take you a while, but in a couple weeks it will feel natural
if you can do a proper deep bodyweight squat, you can do a proper weighted parallel squat

I'm a pretty fit person (exercise 3 to 6 days a week), and my diet is pretty good - except for one thing. I'm concerned about my sodium intake, which hovers between 2000 and 3500mg a day.
Should I be overly concerned about this? I drink a decent about of water everyday (14 cups or so a day). Does that even help? Thanks.
>>42156706
Not really. As long as you're not downing shittons of the stuff repeatedly and consistently you'll be fine
>And as for salt, which Audette rails against in a manner so prolific it rivals the Westboro Baptist Church's hatred of the homosexuals, it's not only necessary, but critical.
>"Certain isolated groups in areas such as Brazil, Papua New Guinea, and rural African communities have been found to live on sodium intakes of as little as 1150 mg per day. However, despite finding generally low blood pressure in these remote communities, the little evidence that exists on these low salt societies suggests shorter life expectancy and higher mortality rates" (Kresser).
>Paleo authors will often rail against sodium intake, suggesting that paleolithic man consumed less sodium than is recommended by the government to maintain optimal health. Apparently, however, they lack access to Wikipedia. Wild animals, of whom our ancestors were a part, utilize natural "salt licks" to maintain healthy bone and muscle growth. These mineral licks are so important to wildlife that they're illegally used to bait animals for hunting, and even the Vikings mentioned them prominently in their mythology. According to Norse mythology,
>"In Norse mythology, before the creation of the world, it was the divine cow Audhumla who, through her licking of the cosmic salt ice, gave form to Buri, ancestor of the gods and grandfather of Odin. On the first day as Audhumla licked, Buri's hair appeared from the ice, on the second day his head and on the third his body" (Wikipedia)(cont.)

You should be getting at least 3000 milligrams a day.
