Forgive me, as I'm not a regular here, and I didn't notice anything about it in the sticky, so:

I've heard a lot of back and forth on what the "best" form is for doing normal push-ups, and I'm unsure of what idea to follow. Is there a method generally accepted on /fit/ in regards to that?

arms and body should make an arrow shape (elbows about 45 degrees with body) or even narrower if you want to really hit the triceps

what soap and shampoo am I supposed to use if I don't want to smell like a bitch or grow tits like a bitch? it seems like literally everything they put in this shit is reported as an endocrine disruptor. looking at "organic" brands doesn't seem to help since they still have stuff that's supposedly estrogenic, plus they usually have gay ass flower smells. even the shit they're selling on the infowars store has tea oil, which apparently will also make you a pussy.

what can I use to cut the oil in my hair though? it gets really greasy if I don't wash it every day. I know some oil is normal, but this is the level where I have to wipe my hands off with a paper towel after rubbing my head.

Habe you tried full on cutting shampoo and rinsing with water throughout the day? It gets bad for a while, but after your scalp readapts to not needing it and looks good. Haven't used shampoo in years and get loads of compliments. I always get told I have perfect hair kek

Do my routine as usual desu.
I work out at a shitty Uni gym, and at any given time there's about 5 blacks of varying shapes and sizes doing the rain dance on or around the power racks, and about 10 more doing retarded shit and throwing dumbbells everywhere. I just do what I need and listen to my music, and they don't bother me.

I fucked up my hand. I can't use all my fingers on my left hand to hold onto the bar. I can pretty much grip only with thumb, index, and pinky. I can weakly use my ring finger but I basically can't use my middle finger at all.

What should I do about deadlifting? I don't want to bitch out and ditch them completely, but is there a way to mitigate this issue? Or are there other exercises I should do instead?

pretty sure it would be wise to raise the strain on them by using tools like straps

whatever you do, dont stop your workout and regenerate, that way you wont make it before end of summer

Hey /fit/, have any of you run a marathon?
What kind of shape were you in? How'd you feel afterwards?

I ran my first ever last weekend (4:36, i suck) and while I've been pretty tired, I feel fine when I'm walking around during the day, climbing stairs, etc, finally - however I'm having a REALLY difficult time even on short runs, which I started trying to pick back up yesterday.

Should I just relax for another week? Am I doing something wrong to not be more recovered by now, or is this par the course?

Also, so long as I'm not getting injured is this good interval training or bad and risky overtraining? I'd love some tips, thanks for reading my blog.

what is the most effective chest workout, /fit/?

Seems to vary massively from person to person.

For me it is bench press, with a slow upward portion of each rep. I find if I do it explosively, my triceps come into it more.

Bear this in mind, if you struggle to "feel" your chest in chest exercises, try changing the speed of the reps as it can make a big difference.

455x1 deadlift
185x2 bench
315x2 squat highbar

So im very tall and have long arms. I dont train squats a lot because of knee pain and i skip bench all the time because its hopeless, my body just dont seem to make progress there.

Should i just train more for deadlift (since i have good genetics for it) and compete?

Im natty and i think if i train for 1-2 years more i can reach 550-600 lbs
