Currently bogged down and bed ridden with the flu. How do you get over such an annoying illness /fit/?
Get excited because I don't have to come up with excusess to not lift
Get depressed because I can't lift

>Flu
Takes weeks for me sometimes. Try to do some light casual lifting or sweating, once breathing is less affecting then you can go back to at least 70% of what you do. If doing nothing the stalling time will be enough to put you back to basics, at least that's me.

Try doing lots of drugs
Hey guys I just wanted to hear your input, how well do resistance bands work over weights. I don't have a lot of space to store my weights in my new place and was considering switching.
>>42753210
Bands are accessories, you're gonna be making minimal - and I mean minimal, gains with bands
Get a barbell, adjustable dumbbells, and at least 4 pl8s for the BB and 2 pl8s worth for the dbs
>>42753210
They work well if you want to become stronger in an explosive sense
>>42753210
Get the set off of amazon that goes up to 150lbs resistance, fuck the tubes get the flat bands. I think there's another single band sold by another seller on there that goes up to 200lbs. You can combine bands and shit and get some serious resistance going on shit like rows and flies, etc. They're not great for squats (the eccentric is lacking) or diddlies (you gotta pull trap bar style and systemic shock isn't there since your hands are doing most of the load bearing) but you can do a lot of other shit with them, especially if you find something solid to wrap one around (MAKE SURE IT IS SOLID OR YOU WILL FUCK YOURSELF UP LIKE A TRAIN WRECK)

For the last year or so I've been doing 100-200 push-ups of these kind weekly in one day (mostly in weekends) as a routine.
I've been doing this so I can let the muscle repair itself and so I could feel the muscle fever.
Because of some personal issues, I couldn't continue this routine for a month but the last week I've done 30 in one round and that was my limit at that point.
The thing is that after 5-6 days, I still feel a horrible fever after those 30 push-ups.
My question is and tl;dr : is muscle fever = gainz ? Can I get them even if i'm not feeling it ?
Hey guys, looking for advice. I'm relatively new to lifting and want to start with a SS/SL 5x5 but have been reading a lot about what this program lacks.
From what I've read on here and Plebbit I'm thinking about adding 4 accessory workouts to the program.
1. Chin ups - For biceps since 5x5 doesn't have much for that. Also I want to do a vertical pll
2. Tricep pull downs - I've heard so much about 5x5 not doing shit for arms and I want to avoid that if
3. Face pulls - I already have rolled shoulders from sitting down at a computer most of my life, I feel like any rear delt exercise should be done
4. Calf raises - why not?
5. Abs - hanging leg raises and side bends because I want good looking abs
Any input? I'm thinking if I alternate between these exercises after the 5x5 I should have a good starting routine for a beginner
Just do reddits linear PPL, it will save you time not fucking around with a shitty program and it will yield way better aesthetics and size
Is there an app that shows you what your facegains would be?
I love running but sometimes my knees get fucked if I don't workout my posterior properly. Last time I had knee pain I did low bar squats for a month and everything worked out. Now I don't have access to freeweights and don't want to pay $100 a months to share a couple power racks with crossfitters.
Anyone have any suggestions? I've been thinking about buying a roman chair or maybe even a bike.
Are there any machines that are good for complimentary?
Whichever one you enjoy doing and feels like it's hitting your desired muscles effectively.
>>42752602
as in, machine exercises to complement free weight exercises?
leg presses and hamstring curls if your gym doesn't have a GHD or a place to do 'natural' glute-ham raises (aka Nordic curls). cables are also great, but they're not really grouped in with 'machines'
>be lanklet
>start working out for the past couple of months
>Slow but surely progress, abs coming in
>Equally lanky roommate decides to join in the exercise
>he gets abs better than mine in only weeks
What the fuck? How is this fair bros I should be making it before he does
He's sneaking in ab isolations while you're sneaking in cookies.

he's probably just in more of a calorie deficit than you
either he works out more, eats less, or has a naturally higher TDEE due to muh genetics
>not having one cheat day out of the week to let loose
lmao you're never gonna make it if you don't cheat once in a while.
>>42752484
>cheat day
>making it
Choose one sweaty
>not committing yourself to a permanent lifestyle change
I track macros, I literally have no excuse to have a cheat day because I eat everything that fits into my macros.
My cheat day is basically just not tracking macros, which is on birthdays, easter, christmas, etc.
do supplements to increase smen volume work?
i have read pornstars swear by lecithin, zinc, and arganine, but they are probably already freaks of natire
>>42752457
I tried the lecithin/arganine combo. (already took zinc anyway).
Can confirm that Lecithin increases cum volume. Noticebly more juice. However I felt like it lowered my labido slightly, so not worth it, unless you have tons of libido, and just need more cum.
Arganine doesn't increase volume, but I noticed more sensitivity and better orgasms. No downsides, so I still take that. I stopped taking lecithin.
>>42753213
i read it lowered libido. sounds strange. my goal ia to juay absolutely super soak some tho but i dont really want that
you would reccomend l arganine? do you have any studies that convinced you?
I've been taking citrulline malate (aka better arginine) as a NO booster and I swear my boners were getting softer
Please don't touch my Raf

I had heard that diet sodas can lead to mid-section bloat, even despite a near perfect diet and work-out regimen.
Diet Coke is my only vice. I can seem to shake it for periods of time but then I binge over a weekend.
I don't drink alcohol, almost no sweets, and I just can't cut enough to show abs w/o flexing hard.
I'm 5'10" 172 and I'm starting to wonder if diet coke is (besides poisoning me) holding me back.
Does /fit/ partake in black art of diet coke?
Have you heard of it being especially bad for someone trying to get lean?
>>42751924
I've had almost no food today except for nuts, an avocado and 4 diet cokes.
Can I get more pics of her for my library

you know maybe you initially OVERESTIMATED your TDEE , just because the website estimate 2000kcals/day to lose weight doesn't means it's accurate ,that's the ONLY inaccurate part about CICO
Offcourse your meme starvation diet work , you're way under your real TDEE .
