What mode should I try to achieve, /fit/?

I'm just getting back into exercising after a year of being a fat fuck. I need motivation and I can't think of anyone I usually mire who's physique I could realistically match. Mainly trying to lose weight and go from there.

Right now I'm 5'9 and 230 lbs.

Been lifting since 18, now 23. Used to be obsessed with meals every 2.5 hours on the dot from a plastic box, precisely measured as 1/6th of my macros for the day, using all the extra supps to give myself the edge I thought.

Used to put myself through so much hard times, I swear I had an eating disorder at one point I would binge out on food eating crazy amounts and then having to do crazy cardio and dieting to get back and then repeating the cycle. I would get fat from a 'bulk' and then have to endure horrible low carb lifestyle to 'cut'.

Used to Scrutinize my form and precise rep ranges and track my reps etc

Now my life is easy, I just eat when I'm hungry simple as that, get enough protein and go to the gym just because I like lifting, I'm best shape I've ever been and with a pretty 'bad' diet consisting mainly of burgers, ice cream, whey protein, Bagels and pizza as I live in the city and don't cook at home.

This is the true way to lift until you're old and have fun doing it, pull your head out of the details and as long as you go to the gym most days, get enough protein and eat reasonable portions you will find it easy
