hey /fit/. i been on a diet for the last 5 weeks, I was making really good gradual weight loss until this week where I lost 0 pounds. My diet didn't change, nothing changed.

a friend told me its my "plateau" so, how do i get out of it, and why did this happen? what else can i do to keep losing weight? if i it anything else from my diet i'll probably starve to death cuz i been feeding on steamed vegetables and fruits

So recently, I realized that Ive been adding way too many calories to my diet with the milk in my protein shakes. Its good, but im putting 400 calories a day more than I need to in a single shake. Ive tried it with water before and I hate it. I only need less calories because im trying to do a lean bulk right now, with about ~230g protein a day and ~2000 calories.

Im thinking about using skim or almond milk as a substitute so it doesnt taste like shit. Any /fit/bros have experience with this?

im growing my arms, and just need to get enough protein and fat. Any surplus calories can just come from fat already on me since im kinda chub.

How hard is it to loose weight? I've been /fit/ my entire life and attribute it to both my consistently active lifestyle and healthy eating. Both my parents come from overweight families however they are both in good shape.

That being said, I don't know what it's like to loose weight? Most bitch about not loosing weight and say, 'I'm not eating much but still not loosing weight?'. Is this possible? Do they simply over eat without knowing/admitting it?

I'd say losing weight is hard because if you're a fat adult, then you've probably gone years with poor eating habits, and it's hard to break those habits. That being said, losing weight is also very easy once you've gotten into the right mindset and realized you don't need to eat a lot of unhealthy food to feel satisfied.

Any advice for gaining weight?

I'm 6'3", 135 pounds, and limited to lower-carb because I'm type 1 diabetic. Most guides for bulking are very carb-heavy and was wondering if anyone here has done it with protein/fat instead.
