it's your tight taps and scapula and your lats and chest and your glutes and and your hamstrings and your calf right down to your pinky toe.. All of it is probably too tight.
make sure you breathe through your nose only. Target stretching the biggest muscles first, so glutes, hamstrings, chest, traps. The rest will sort of follow but the only thing that will prevent it from happening again is a strong core to assist your weak lower back for good posture... So buy an ab roller and check out the alexander technique.

Hi /fit/, I come to you need of advice, this Monday I was doing push day and I hurt my neck while doing bench press, I pressed my neck into the bench and got my neck locked a bit, but since it's normal for me to have a stiff neck I carried on, I did inclined bench with no problems but when I when on to do lower cable flies I got a pain in the left side of my neck so I stopped, got some anti inflammatory and now the neck pain is almost completely gone, the thing is I now have a weird feeling in the collarbone area, like something isn't right, I don't feel pain doing any movement it's just this constant weird feeling of like the muscle being weird idk, I was hoping maybe someone has had this same issue and can help me out

Agreed. It makes no sense to do a sumo deadlift when the entire point of deadlifting is to build muscle on posterior chain. Sumo takes out a lot of posterior chain and hits quadriceps more. Why would you want more quadriceps work when you're already doing squats/leg press?
The only intelligent option is to do conventional deadlifts, as it's going to give you the most bang for your buck when it comes to building muscle on your posterior chain.
I'm even saying this as a manlet with short arms, which means conventional deadlift is harder for me compared to someone with long arms, but I don't be a bitch and change to sumo, I stick to conventional and suck it up and my posterior chain loves me for it. I even do deficit conventional deadlifts to make it even harder for me and build a stronger lower back.

Just a trainer playing around with routines for my beginners to use since they always have complaints about the big three routines. What do you think of this for a general bare bones beginner routine? Looking at all the usual recommend routines (SS, SL, GSLP), they seem to all have these in common, they just have small things separating each other (SS has power cleans instead of rows, SL has 5x5, GSLP has AMRAP), which are coincidentally the things my trainees tend to complain about the most. This about as basic barbell as I can get it while still getting all the major compound muscle groups for beginners.

I need sood shoes for lifting (ie. thin soles) but ALSO for all-round usage (driving, going to the shops, etc)?
Most gym shoes I see recommended look like dogshit. I don't want to buy a pair of shoes that I will only wear to the gym. I may as well lift barefooted in that case.
I've been using pic-related (Adidas SM-II LS) for all-round usage and they've been amazing, but they're 5 years old and are starting to wear out, so I'm looking for a replacement.
