Whenever I lift, the muscles on the left side of my lips pull themselves and twitch for some reason. And it's only on one side. Anyone else get this?

Will bulking for 4months, in which I increase my intake of carbs & cals in the process, All the while focusing on my upper body and arms 4 times a week; followed by 4months of cutting on Keto and lifting only 2 times a week, by limiting my diet to only lean meats and sprinting every other day, and the last four months just crossfit/boxing to keep my wits keen ;)...IF DO ALL THAT FOR TWO YEARS WILL I GET ME THIS MODE :))))))

can someone explain to me how deadlifts are not just a meme? they are as destructive for the lower back as morning glorys, as unless you want to deadlift for the sake of only becoming a better deadlifter, why wouldnt you just drop deadlifts for less risky rack pull, squat, and cleans regimen?

i dont understand the point of performing heavy deadlift unless you want to be an olympic deadlifter, as nobody is impressed by some awkward up down movement that you spent hours upon hours of perfecting your form for.

personally i feel much better after a solid clean and jerk for explosive athleticism than i ever have with deadlifting. and for just lifting as much weight as you can, rack pulls have all the benefits without risking acute or chronic lower back pain that will knock you out of any activity for weeks to months for merely attempting a fatigued 50% of your max deadlift after performing another compound.

i think ill go with real life experiences over memes, as a trip to the doctor is not in the cards. bye deadlifts, you wont be missed

Do you have equal strength in both sides?
Could be if you do like cables you are not standing in directly in the middle and have different forces on one side, you are not moving both arms in the same way, i sometimes do this and realise, you just gotta take a couple of slower reps and zone into the muscle more, mind muscle connection. could literally just be your muscle structure anyway and not alot would fix this, but im not pro so just look into it

going on vacation in a month and want to stay as /fit/ looking as possible. what should I be eating since I won't be working out? I've heard BIG RICH RIP say he'd carb up to remove water and pump up the muscles, that protein sticks in the stomach longer and since you're not working out it's not as beneficial so he sticks with high carbs. in my head low carbs high protein just makes sense if I want to stay smaller.

Hey /fit/. Question for you:

Is there anything about the Atkin's diet that could cause unusual muscle cramps?

I started it three weeks ago. Dropped 11 pounds in that time. But pretty much right after I went on the diet, I started getting these intense muscle cramps in places that I've never gotten them before. Namely the abs (triggered by sitting up from laying on my back), and those little muscle groups that run up the side of your chest (triggered by slouching).

I take multivitamins (whatever that's worth) and generally do a good job of staying hydrated. Not really sure why this is happening. Got any insight?
