Does anyone else feel better when other dudes more your gains as opposed to women?
No homo
For example: I'm 6'5" and 2,3,4,6 lifts. I have other guys constantly saying that I'm strong as fuck or "Yeah man you're the last person in the room that I would fuck with. It feels better than "anon you look pretty strong, how much is your bench press? Teeeehheeehehee."
Feels good mostly because I'm extremely competitive with other men but also have very low self image even with gains.
Is this normal
probably the result of dudes admiring and acknowledging the amount of time and effort it took and also the practical benefits
women just admire the aesthetic aspect because they don't care about what it took to get there
Remember, most of what you look like is your diet!
I just got back from the store and wanted to see how my kitchen stacked up against what everyone else is doing, or if anybody learned any secrets during their time getting fit. For starters, one of the things I learned is blend up greek yogurt with stuff instead of buying protein powder.
Anyway, here's mine:
>FREEZER:
Salmon (4 servings)
Lamb (10 servings - mixed cuts)
Ground turkey (8 servings)
Steak (20 servings - mixed cuts)
Ground Bison (2.5 servings)
Chicken Breasts (17 servings)
Bananas (1 freezer bag)
Strawberries (2 freezer bags)
Frozen Vegetables ( 4 bags)
>FRIDGE
Fresh Broccoli / Brussel Sprouts / Kale / Spinach / Peppers / Mushrooms
Greek yogurt (24 servings)
Onions / Carrots / Garlic
12 Eggs
Shredded Cheese (15 servings)
>PANTRY
Canned Vegetables (16 cans)
.5 loaf sliced rye bread
Miniature Potatoes (1 bag)
Peanut butter (3 jars)
Soup (7 cans)
Peanuts (1 large Jar)
Tuna (2 cans / 3 pouches)
McCann's Oatmeal ( 16 servings)
Some weird Gluten free bites thing
On that note, all items that aren't store brand are locally grown / harvested or completely organic.
So what do you guys rate? Any ideas? What do you guys have? I figure this is roughly 1.5 - 2.5 months of healthy food up in here.
How come all this american fatfucks are so fond of sports? Such hypocrisy
>only Americans do this
>hypocrisy
I never really watched sports at all, but I started lifting 5 years ago and since then I've tried watching it and I've realised sports make me feel like a lazy cunt and they make me yearn for the gym.
After coming to this realisation it made me wonder how so many fat fucks watch sports and obsess over it....but do they ever think to themselves for a moment at all, ever...that hey...these guys are fit as fuck playing sports and you're not even active at all, infant you're fat fucking cunt with a huge gut.
Then again it I've come to think that watching sports is very similar to cuck porn. Maybe they enjoy watching fit males perform at a sport while they sit back binging on chips and chocolate while never doing any activity.
It's made dislike sports crazy people especially if they're fat.
Just my 2 cents of autism

How is it hypocrisy to like something you're not good at? These people don't idolize the athletic lifestyle, they just want to watch a game get played.
What are your guys' thoughts on veggie and wheat pasta? I need more cheap and easy solutions for lunch that I can cook the night before. Getting sick of chicken + spinach, kale, peppers, and carrots. It's delicious, but I've eaten it every day for like three weeks now.
Ten bucks buys a lot of fucking pasta and red sauce.
>>42317072
I love me some pasta. Perfect bulking food.
>>42317072
Good stuff generally, get garbanzo pasta for extra protein/a little less calories. Get whole wheat for even less.
>>42317089
>>42317694
I was expecting to get a flood of unanimous "it's shit food for shit people and you may as well load up on white pasta you fat fuck" responses.
I actually prefer the taste of veg and wheat pasta to white pasta. Is it actually good shit? For reference, I'm doing starting strength and cardio, and trying to build muscle while slimming down. I'm down about fifteen pounds in a month and change. I don't mind carbs, but I don't want to load up on them, obv.
Should I try to get a manlet friend to bring around so I look taller?
>6'1 manlet here
>thinking about acquiring a 5'6 manlet
>should boost me to at least 6'3
Will I still fit in my cloths though??
Opinions?
>>42317069
>6'3
>not manlet
Pick 1 6'5 is the irl cutoff, shorty
>>42317069
I'm a 5'7" manlet and wouldn't mind. I just want a friend. :')
Hey /fit/ I just wanted to say thank you. Coming from a no friends never been kissed to just having banged the 3rd different grill this week I really do appreciate all the fat shaming threads, the current body threads for motivation, and everything else.
Zyzz never left us, he's in our hearts. Get shredded cunts.
>>42317050
Good job cunt, happy for you.
I'm cutting right now, gonna take a 6-pack picture for the tinder and hopefully be in the same boat in a few months
Is there a problem if I don't complete sets properly when lifting weights?
Let me explain what I mean.
From what I’ve learned online, sets will normally look like this (just to give an example): 30lbs, 8 reps X 4 sets.
What happens is I might do set #1 perfectly Ok, but when I go for set #2 I cannot complete 8 reps so what I do is grab the 25’s and do 10 reps to reach fatigue. After that, for set #3 I might be even weaker so I have to lower the weight to 20lbs and do 12 reps to feel like I’m actually doing something. The issue I face is that I never have the strength to finish the set properly so I need to go lower and do more reps instead.
Will this affect my muscle growth? Should I just go for lower weight in the first place so I manage the 4 sets?
You need longer rest periods between sets. If you need to take 5lbs off the bar, that's probably okay, but don't do it more than once.
Look into taking creatine if you don't already, it will help you bang out those last few reps.
My chest sits further back than my belly. Is this because i'm skinny or because i have the chest divet birth defect thing
It's because you have a small ass rib cage
Bad posture
>>42316963
really? so i just need to stop being a little bitch and do more chest exercises? thank fuck
How much bigger do you appear after working out a specific muscle versus it being flat on an off day? I have underage grills to impress.
The following day is when the area seems the most pumped after I get food in.
So when I do Pull day on Friday my back/traps/biceps are pumped on Saturday from food. They're flat on the Friday after having trained those muscles, I assume that's because they're recovering, then on Saturday they've absorbed all the nutrients/water and expanded again, hence the following day pump in those muscles.
Actual size increase? Minimal. Your own perception of that muscle? It grew fucking 4 inches.
pretty much right after working it. then it slowly decreases over time, with late the next day it being normal looking again.
if you want to impress underage sluts, do pushups/pullups/chinups right before entering the room to get maximum pump going
>lifting for 4+ years
>never able to stick to muh calories or muh macros
>trying to fit shit into my macros
>always end up going over my macros
>cant stick to my macros most of the time
>end up cheating a lot
>fuckthisforajoke.jpg
>decide to just eat chicken breast, basa fish, whey protein, carrots, broccoli and olive oil
>not tracking anything, not weighing anything, no MFP
>actually getting lean for the first time in my lifting career
I guess I discovered the problem, the problem being that tracking food made me too food focused, which made me unable to stick to my diet because it's all I'd think about. The fact I'd be trying to fit in junk food, that also triggered me to eat more junk, because the junk food is addicting, tasting all that nice stuff must fuck with the brain/appetite in some way, because when I stopped eating the junk I no longer crave it.
Now just eating a select few protein sources and veggies, and sprinkling olive oil on them, getting shredded has never been easier. I don't even think about food or feel hungry and I'm in the best shape of my life, I've fallen back in love with lifting because I'm finally seeing all the gains I've made since there's no longer a layer of fat over my muscle mass making me look like a DYEL fattie.
Feels fucking good man, and too top it off, I feel much healthier not eating junk food.
>>42316787
Iifym btfo
Clean eating actually literally not even memeing works if you just eat meat and veg. You can get lean so easy doing that, without tracking anything.
>>42316787
You are just really dumb thats all it is
>>42316787
It's the carbs dude.
They're not a problem per se, but you have to earn the right to eat them.
The more active you are and the leaner you are, the more carbs you can eat.
>Over 20% bodyfat? No carbs for you.
>15-20% bodyfat? Limit your carbs to before or after your workouts (or other intense activity)
>Below 15% bodyfat? You don't have to worry about carbs that much, just don't eat too much of them.
>19 yo
>5'10"
>163 lbs right now
So I've been going to the gym for about 8 months and bulking at that time. Happy with my strength gains and stuff but I've gained a couple of extra pounds more than I should have in last 2-2.5 months. My body fat is about 17-18% right now. I won't have access to a gym for about 3-4 weeks next month.
So, I was thinking that if I start cutting in those weeks and maybe some more, would it really be bad for my gains (strength/size)?
What's the difference between cutting while lifting and cutting while not lifting?
Cutting while not lifting: Goodbye gains
Cutting while lifting: Maintain somewhat gains, goodbye fat
>>42316784
Holy shit you must look dyel fat. 163lb 5'10 18% bf? Lol
>>42316988
not op but 18bf at 5 10 isn't really "dyel bro" look if you are bulking.
What do you eat for breakfast that is easy to make /k? I've been eating a half cup of plain outmeal with a tbsp of coconut oil and a half tbsp of honey. I'm satisfied right now but eventually ill need a bit more variety.
scrambled or hard boiled eggs
>>42316741
A smoothie consisting of:
- Milk
- Scoop or two of whey protein
- berries (any kind)
- couple of spoonfuls of greek yogurt
- quinoa seeds
- cacao powder
That shit's nice.
Are side bends a good exercise? I like them but my friend said they will injure my lower back
it isn't an ideal exercise but it won't hurt your back
>>42316666
Does it matter to super satan? Do you even have flesh to injure?
>>42316680
What is a better assistancd exercise for building thick and strong obliques?
Hey /fit/. I was wondering if there was any sort if routine I could do in place of my 2nd weekly leg day. I feel like one is enough, but the only issue is that I already have a day for the other parts of my body. Are there any more unknown, or specific workouts that I could make into a routine? Cardio crossed my mind, but I've heard the memes and I'm not sure if they're true.
