did I do good /fit/ ?
>>42323997
He did it. The mad man actually did it. He somehow broke the laws of math
>>42324001
I took a route that goes all around town, taking the direct route its probably less than a mile away from my house
>the gym is actually in the trailer of a semi truck constantly traveling at 11 miles per hour.
Can anyone recommend good running shoes that are worth their price? I am fairly new to /fit/ but have always been a lazy /a/utist. I just want something that will be good for me feet when I go running for an hour.
Private Dyel what are you trying to do to my beloved board?!

HEIL TAY
I just ate a whole box of fudge stripes (12 times the serving size). Should I force myself to vomit?
No, why? That's 12 grams of protein right there.
>24 cookies
Pic related, it's OP.
>>42323679
wow op, you really fucked up. It's too late to vomit now. Enjoy gaining 30 pounds
Couldn't control yourself, could youZA>
>Friend says dips are basically body weight bench press.
Is this true? How similar are they? If I weight 300lbs and can do 10 dips can I bench 300lbs?
I think dips are most triceps
unless you do them wrong and turn them into a weird hanging pushup thingy
Not the same thing. Dips would be closer to a decline press motion. And they hit your triceps better than a regular bench would.
It doesnt directly translate to benching 300 pounds, but if your fat ass can actually do 10 CLEAN dips with full range of motion, youre probablyy fairly strong.
Okay, this was ignored on /adv/, but it is a health matter, so it could fit here.
So, since there isn't really a /health/, I would like to get some advice here.
A sleep specialist believes my symptoms are indicative of narcolepsy. While she would like me to take the test for the diagnosis, I have a driving job I would lose on the spot if I were diagnosed.
So, since I can't get the real meds for proper treatment, I'm looking for a way to combat my issues without outing myself to work. I'm non-cataplectic, so I don't lose consciousness, thankfully. Anywhere else I look is full of hippies that have access to proper meds, but refuse them.
>TLDR: Caring for Narcolepsy without a prescription so I don't lose my job.
Can I still make sick gains?
I'm praying for his surgery. I hope he makes it. I hope he loses 100 pounds in a year.
Pray for Steve thread.
Did I stutter bitches? Pray.
When is his surgery again?

August 1st
>walk into "crossfit" portion of gym
>basically just open space with bumper plates for oly lifts
>see this guy balancing on three different medicine balls
>snap a pic and guy behind me laughs out loud when he rolls off
>next "set" he grabs kettle bells to balance on his arms with but still uses all three med balls
>another guy comes in and starts moving boxes and barbells out of the way while holding a tennis racket and ball
>starts hitting the ball against the wall while there's three other guys doing lifts in the room with him for three minutes and leaves
Am I getting memed? Can anyone explain to me what just happened?

Muscle confusion
>>42323169
Obviously he's a cat burglar training for his next job.
>>42323169
The only thing I can think of is he's into some climbing sports. Otherwise he's just a fuckin weirdo.
Tennis ball guy is just a mong, give him no more regard than you would the pajeets who do their own retarded shit and call it a workout.
Hey all, I'm new here. Felt a need to post on this site. I'm ashamed of all of the depressing posts on this forum. I feel compelled to provide some personal input.
First, a bit about me: I was dealt a terrible hand in life - I'm short, pale, naturally fat, have messed up teeth, wear glasses, have numerous internal health complications, and, yes, suffer severe premature baldness (I pretty much had all of my hair lost in early 20s).
Does that stop me from making the best out of life? No!
I wear shoes that disguisedly make me look taller, get spray tans twice a week, work out hardcore every day, and eat insanely healthy (so I'm ripped), got braces to fix my teath, wear contacts, go to the doctor frequently, and slicked my hair completely bald - and I've been getting loads of girls! Recently, I've been wearing a wig, and I LOVE it. It gives me perfect hair, and it's hardly noticeable. I went from a short, fat, messed-up-teethed, bespectacled, bald, pale ugly man to a tall, muscular, tanned man with an amazing hairline and smile.
Big hint: don't take that finastricide crap. All it does is make you fat and uglier. Don't bother with rogaine or any of that crud. Instead, bic your head, wear a hairpiece, get tanned, get swole, grow a beard...and crush!
See how a little work on your appearance can make worlds of a difference?
>>42323111
Nice trips faggot
>>42323111
Checked.
Fuck off you bald motherfucker.

Good advice, manlets should get used to wearing heels so when they're eventually forced to transition they can slide right into their role with minimal processing time
Hey fit.
Recovering fatty here. Been down 160 for a few years. Highest being 340. Lowest 180. currently 200.
I've noticed that I've plateaued these past few years, and instead of researching why, I fell into the same mindset of dropping calories, increasing exercise. I powered through weeks of 1500 calories and training for boxing (rigorous cardio), but saw no decrease in fat. only fatigue.
I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this metabolism decrease through extreme caloric deficits, and if they've come out of it having become stable. I'm concerned I will regain alot of the weight through trying to stabilize my metabolism and would like to see what you guys have to say.
I

This is why caloric restriction diets are outdated. Its impossible to lose weight without lowering your BMR. What you need to focus on is lowering insulin in the body. Do some research on water fasting, Its the fastest possible way to lose weight (Cant eat less than 0 calories) and Does NOT lower your BMR. Water fasting also starts a process called autophagy. Autophagy has a myriad of positive effects such as getting rid of loose skin, clearing up acne, reversing aging and in some cases reversing cancer cells. Check this vid out and watch a few other vids from Dr.Fung and you should be reasonably informed on the benfits of fasting. Stick to it man and you will make it in no time :)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tIuj-oMN-Fk&t=1899s
Lyle McDonald has done some writing on metabolic adaptation, but I think he summarised the literature as being true only up to a point (IIRC ~15% of BMR). Still, 15% can be the difference between cutting and maintaining.
>>42323357
be wary of anything that claims to cure cancer and prevent ageing lol
plus, a water fast is caloric restriction taken to an extreme. If you're going to recommend fasting, might as well suggest intermittent fasting which also reduces circulating insulin
I'm a scrawny ass white kid
How do I get big
Please help
>>42323065
Watch Bigger by the Day.
So that one day you may.
1. Switch to a vegan diet
2. Do cardio and calisthenics
You'll be a pussy magnet in no time
Read the sticky three(3) times, lift and eat more
Should sauces be avoided at all costs? Are they stealing much gains. I can't lie some restaurants make a good sauce
>>42323005
If you're cutting yeah. If not then don't be autistic about it and just don't over do it
Go with spices over sauces if you're cutting
Stop worrying so much about food and start training harder instead
