Genuine question, why aren't more people having meal replacement protein shakes when they're cutting?
It's low in calories, carbs, fat and high in protein.

Seems like it's the perfect thing to have in the morning for breakfast. I usually chug one down in the morning with a banana. It takes less than 3 minutes to make and keeps you full until lunch. And since it's less than 200 calories it means that I can have a bit more to eat at lunch and still hit my calorie limit for the day.

Is there a downside I'm not realising?

Any good programs for getting into HIIT-type cardio?

I did C25K and now I've started lifting. I want to carry on doing cardio, but maybe focus on increasing my run speed instead of endurance. I hear this is better for gains, and also just seems fun desu.

Called a gym my gf goes to. They offer a couple's discount as well as 24/7 access, but they won't combine the two to discount the 24/7. So we're forced to pay for two solo fucking memberships.

Thinking about a short morning workout routine with bodyweight exercises at home after waking up.
What did you do and how long?
Did you saw any benefits from it besides your normal training? Like getting stronger at the bench press with daily push ups for example

Did daily pushups ab workout squats chinups bridges and stretching every morning.
Took about 5-10 minutes.

Saw a noticeable increase in strength and well being throughout the day and decrease in soreness and stiffness.
Also my dick hung a bit lower throughout the day. I also saw a noticable drop in fat and better body composition in the mirror overall.

As for lifting, yeah. I felt the difference when I worked out. Didn't take as long to warm up workouts were more fruitful and I could heal from them a lot faster.

push ups etc are pointless. before I started lifting I fell for the push up meme. I could do 100 easily but had no chest or triceps and when I started actually benching, I thought I would have a good base, but could barely do 30kg

if you want to do something in the morning, do mobility work or yoga

Hey fit /g/ here.

About 3 weeks ago, I came to you all for help. I was at 284, 6'4''. I am down to 270. The problem is I can not run on the road for more then 2 miles at a time, and after a day or more by knees and backs start to hurt very badly. I got a gym membership the other day and have have gone 2 times. I have and can hop on a elliptical for an hour at a time. The screen says I am burning 750ish calories for the hour that I'm on it. If i start doing the elliptical every morning before work and go after work to start lifting, will I lose weight faster? I'm not trying to change my diet from the 700-800 intake a day with about 1 or more gallons of water
