Why do they even sell shit like this and why are people willing to wear shirts / polos with huge logos on them?

I bought a fake version of that once from another country and kids in America thought I was trying to wear it as real ralph lauren, they made fun of me.

Most asians (in America) only care about brand recognition; they're the only people I've ever seen wearing that big pony shit.
Because foreigners, from Pakis to Brazilians, fucking love that shit.

What you should be asking is why you'd want to wear a polo at all in the first place.

This.
Chinese people have zero taste. Most of them acquired money so rapidly they never had the chance to develop any sense of dignity to accompany it. Sort of for the same reason Russian oligarchs like gaudy gold-encrusted shit. Their ancestors literally one generation earlier were defecating in the open, and now they're multi-millionaires sending their children to clog up Western universities with doctored exam scores. You can't expect much more from them.
