Cos has collaborated with Mr Porter to create a 23-piece capsule collection with "the modern traveler" in mind.

According to Mr Porter to collection with feature a monochrome palette accented with considered colour, clean lined silhouettes, and an effortless feel.

"We wanted to create a collection that reinterpreted function for every occasion,” COS’ menswear designer Martin Andersson. “ A collection where the tailored suit can take you from a business meeting to an art gallery opening in the evening.”

Are you sure that was what you tried on? I thought the collection would only be available in Cos stores and online from the 7th?
>>
>>9808947
>>9808952
what pieces are you looking at specifically?
>>
>>9809015
Mac looks like the one they have on the Cos website already.
>>
>>9809048
yeah, a lot of stuff is in stores already. i my friend copped the wool cashmere and i almost bought the green/white colorblock tee. it was in the netherlands and london too. are you a cos employee lmao
>>
The COS website is throwing errors on like every page for me.

Not a huge fan of the bacteria-looking pattern, but the rest of the stuff is dope. Didn't know COS was so reasonably priced, any idea if the collab is going to be in the same price range?
>>
>>9809097
nah i just had no idea anything was being released before the 7th
im from london so i may go and pick up the burgundy mac or white jacket in store rather than online
how was the quality?
>>
>>9809106
you can already see the prices, butim too stoned to find the page again.

mac 79, coat 175, tee 14
>>
>>9808928
pretty dope
>>
>>9809111
check your history?

>coat 175
dollars? and is it the wine coat? >>9808928

Cos is basically H&M trying to pull what Link Theory has.

That they're making a capsule collection like this just goes to show how much and far "techwear" type ideas will enter, have entered the mainstream.

And pretty much everything about it just distills and fast-fashion-izes the worst currents in it, tbh. It's all flattery for a certain type of faux-refined manboy produced when the (overdue) death throes of contemporary masculinity hit the Internet and fashion marketing.

>The Modern Traveller is a capsule collection from MR PORTER and COS designed as a versatile wardrobe for the man on the move, wherever in the world he happens to be
>According to Mr Porter to collection with feature a monochrome palette accented with considered colour, clean lined silhouettes, and an effortless feel.
>“We wanted to create a collection that reinterpreted function for every occasion,” COS’ menswear designer Martin Andersson told the NY Times. “[…] a collection where the tailored suit can take you from a business meeting to an art gallery opening in the evening.”

So this guy is "modern," aka both not like his dad and very like his dad because modern was fifty years ago. He wears a "versatile wardrobe," because it sounds unpreeny, "effortless." It's "monochrome," but with "considered color," so it never clashes with anything or anyone. He's a "man on the move," because being masculine means both to be active - to have the power to be active- and enamored of self-serving cliché. Despite that, like his lines, he's always "clean," thanks to his Taskrabbit and wash-and-fold lady. He's "wherever he happens to be," because most likely he's vacationing in Iceland with the money he made on a sales call to Idaho, neither of them really choices. His shit, like James Bond and his shit, is "functional for every occasion," like meeting his girlfriend's parents and being stuck on a packed J train when the AC is out. He wears a "tailored suit" and responds to those words. He thinks business meetings and gallery openings go well when you don't stand out. He enjoys the image of him as at once productive, sophisticated, and above all efficient, unsuperfluous and ready to give everyone something that won't disappoint them at every moment. A grey man hiding from threats to his ego and material comfort.

It's austerity clothing without the bracing starkness that can redeem austereness, for a precarious set that wants to ride in business class on the fantasy they're invulnerable.
>>
>>9809261

dude , cos is h&m they are the same company
>>
>>9809269
>>9809269
Yeah, that's what I said and meant. I could've phrased it more clearly.

Cos is H&M trying to pull something similar to what Link Theory has, peddling fast fashion at higher prices by making simple clothing with some This Is Fashion signifiers incorporated.
>>
>>9809261
>Cos is basically H&M

Fixed. That whole wall of text was basically unecessary. Having said that they're leagues better than H&M imo, better cuts and they're very basic/minimalist overall. I'd personally pick COS over something like APC

Didn't see you post before this was posted. Fair point
>>
>>9809141
nah the burgundy is 79 pounds and only the colorway is exclusive i think because theres a black and navy one thats been there since feb

also nah there's a wool cashmere coat, 175 pounds

What are you copping?

Copping the Mac. It's basic and should be fairly cheap but it's quite a nice colour.
>>
>>9809026
this is really nice. whens this gonna be available and what are you guessing for price?
>>
>>9809311
Any difference in quality between H&M and COS?
>>
>>9810036
tomorrow
cos t-shirts are usually anywhere between £20-£45, but this poster says its 14 >>9809111

>>
>>9810436
assuming you had a very well fitting and plain t-shirt not at all
something textured would work very well

may look a little schoolboy-ish though, i remember wearing those
>>
