What kind of measurements work best for skinny jeans? Like how much longer than the circumference of my legs at the knees, ankles etc? How much should I taper?

you're close, all you have to do is go pants shopping, find the perfect fit and bring those with you to the tailor and tell him to make the other pants fit like those, he'll take some measurements and tada. The place I go to sells levis so I just pull a pair of 510s off the rack and have the guy make my pants fit the same.

Well that would work with my regular tailor but he said that he doesn't work with denim.
