why are pre-smartphone phones so much more aesthetic than current phones?
i really am thinking about switching back, but internet on the go and snapchat are keeping me from doing it. but they look so much better
>tfw no flip phone with apps
look at this shit. how can you try and say this doesn't look way better than an ugly flat rectangle
why can't we have both though? imagine having something like this with apps. It'd be fucking awesome
Shit like this was ahead of it's time at one point. A lot of shit that was considered ahead of it's time comes back into play one day.Shit like this, that was considered weird at one point, and had buttons/physical keyboards I can't see ever coming back into play.
I want a small flip phone that would allow me to still use instagram etc
either that or a classic blackberry looking phone that has instagram
I've searched and come up with nothing. Why is instagram not supported on blackberry OS?
I use this
I like it a lot and there aren't two of the same because of the bamboo cover
It really pops out since I use a mostly monochrome wardrobe
I don't understand /fa/'s fascination with old shit. According to you shitheads only old cars are /fa/ (thinly veiled excuse for not being able to buy a new one in most cases), laptops that look like they are from 2001 are the only /fa/ tech and now you want those horrible flip phones that were a pain in the ass to do anything except calling with them. I guess my grandma is /fa/ then.
Things change for a reason and I believe phones and most tech have changed for the better.
>that were a pain in the ass to do anything except calling with them
as opposed to modern day phones which are great for dicking around with apps but shit at calling?
Idk man I wouldn't give mine up because I'm a pleb who can't live without a gps but I see where some of the appeal is.
>tfw orangutang looking tongan cunt stole my samsung slide phone
I want to fuck that cunt up. Phone was fucking awesome. But srsly black and metallic slidephones were GOAT.
>why do you have that phone anon? are you poor?
I use this for calling and texting, fucking awesome. Battery life goes for like 9 days with one full charge. And i have a smartphone for apps and music.
Pretty much anything, that Vertu makes look /fa/.
omg I had a silver cybershot ericsson a few years ago. My last non-smartphone, was great except the slide-y camera thing got sand and shit in it bc I was 16 and rough w stuff.
If Nokia stayed on top with their fashionable gadgets, this will probably what phones already look like today.
Aside from the government tracking your whole life without hassle, smartphones aren't functional. Low battery life, break easily and surfing the web distracts you from more important work.
What kind of productivity? All I see is people wasting their time on shitty social networks circle jerking each other, or killing time playing shitty "press x to win" games. To-do lists, email, alarm clock, even mid-2000 phone can do that, without distracting you from real life business.
Is my phone /fa/
people always laugh at it when they see it.
I never spent a dollar to buy a phone.
I use apps like Evernote, MyFitnessPal. I will also use apps wherein it lets me track my goals. My phone also lets me take better pictures than a camera from mid-2000s. It's important for me because I enjoy street photography as a hobby and I don't have to bring my DSLR.
I used to play games on an iPad but I got tired of playing them anymore. I would much rather play PC games.
Life without a smart phone would suck tbh
>having to write down directions everytime you somewhere new
>no camera at all times
>no easy instant acces to Internet resources
Bruh life is harder than Pokemon already. Tryna live without a pokedex. That just isn't right
My uni still has these posters up, at least 3 of them in quite a dark little area
Just copped one of these. But it actually is a smartphone.
Dude you have the Samsung Galaxy Golden,
The flip phone smart phone.
Had a Nokia 6300 last summer when I travelled but kept my smartphone with WiFi for apps and internet access. It held a charge for two weeks and was just incredibly convenient. I have an unlocked smartphone now so it shouldn't be a problem but part of me wants to use the 6300 again
I had forgotten how frustrating T9 is.
phones i had prolly left some out
the samsung is actually the thinnest phone eva, dunno if it still holds the record tho.
k800i is masterrace, best phone ever built.
I have a Nokia 208 and a Galaxy S3. Both take the same sim and my 32 gig micro SD. I use them interchangeably, especially when my smartphone becomes too much of a distraction (post grad student).
So good, yet so unreliable.
These are the ones I remember, probably had some others in between as replacement phones.
My favourite will always be the k770i, but the super low-end Moto E I have now is so good that I will buy the new gen Moto E as soon as this one dies (let's hope that it lasts at least 3 years).
Used to have this when I was a teenager
no im not, im just a music addict, so i listen to a lot of music so my battery dies, also apps. With the second phone problem solved.
>Come at me bro
3210 was so much cooler though
I wish I still had mine
Yep, I've thought about getting a little tablet and going back to it. But all 4 of my zunes broke so I need xbox music. If my 4 zunes weren't all smashed I'd go back to the life I lead in hs. Alias and an 80gb zune.
That actually sounds like a great idea for when drinking or traveling.
If you end up fucking around too much on your iphone just use the burner to get home.
Ofc. you could also carry one of those external batteries, now that I think about it.
