whats a good style for a square shape
What y'all think?
Barber fucked up one time so the sides aren't the same lenght...
Any other grils in here who can into combing long hair? I'm too scared to hurt myself so I can't get myself to do it. That's a problem because I can't have other people detangle for me all the time.
the most recent picture i've got of my hair at the moment
i know the bun is tiny but i'm not super comfortable wearing my fro out right now. not until i find products that keep my curls this defined and not frizzy as fuck throughout the day (pic related is a couple minutes after a shower)
zero on lower side and growing the top
Currently growing since january, which haircut would suit me? Thinking about starting to grow on the sides but im not sure about it
Any advice would be liked
Hey everyone,i have a big problem,i think that my hair are ugly af,it's maybe i'm the only black people and everyone keep telling me that they're weird but i find my curl too big. Here's my hair,i'm using conditioner,S spray relaxer ( which is useless... ) and texturizer
Could anyone tell me what should i do to achieve this texture ? thank to everyone :)
or this would also be good, sorry for the bad english and for being annoying
the download of this pic fucked up, does anyone have it? It was in the last black hair thread.
>have neglect dreads for two years because I gave up on life and had no idea what to do with my hair
>people complement me sometimes but I never know if they're being real or just being weird and polite
This is a major source of insecurity for me. I want to try to undo them with like horse shampoo or something but I've found that like all dread info online is geared towards white people and white hair. Should I just go to a hair person or something?
Mines don't have that weird light brown colour that old rastafarians and hippies get tho
They are a lot lighter in the light then I wish they were tho. I'm probably going to dye my hair black if I take them out
You don't even know Woolie and you've already made fun of his hair, you're the fucking best.
Dye your hair black, the only reason his have the brown colour is because he dyes his dreads yellow and green sometimes.
thnx, not really but when i want to "let it free" i do big breads and then a braid out
actually using a olive oil shampoo from dop for black hair and a shea butter conditioner from garnier, one time a week
i want to buy castor oil for the growth and carrot, coconut and maybe avocado oil for the haircare, if anyone have advice about the use of oils, would be hugely appreciated
Nah but seriously I use mane and tail but I've been trying a natural organic one which I think is much better. Mind you you shouldnt be shampooing much anyway.
Any dudes here used texturiser?
What did you use and what did you look like? excuse the crazy hair but a texture like this would be GOAT. I have 4c full black hair atm
This is the third time I'm telling you this my nigga, your head is too round to be shaving the sides like that. You looks like a broke ass Kendrick Lamar
You haven't even changed your hair since the first time you posted
hm it changed a lot since the first time I posted
and im also starting to letting the sides grow but the thing is also that in reality, my head isn t as round (pic with the frontal camera etc)
but thanks for the advice
Just wondering, who else is looking forward to getting black as fuck this summer??
I'm treating my skin and watching my diet so that this summer I can tan and get Godly with smooth black skin
Tell me about Texturizer, would it fuck my shit up?
I want a bald fade with curls at the top
Is there a certain way to make my hair like this or is it just natural?
Does anyone here have horribly nappy 4c hair that doesn't clump? Every time I look something up, their hair is actually along the lines of 4a.
Maybe I just have an even nappier breed? Should I bother with going natural? I don't want to look like a little boy with matted hair and I can't imagine 4c hair will look very feminine ._.
Me, I have an odd shade of dirty brown that doesn't look too good but black would look aesthetic as fuck
That's my hair
It's growing since August last year
my sis told me to do locks but I don't think it will look good
I usually let it full afro but sometimes I do cornrows too. It's getting a bit curly recently but I don't know if I should let it
I'm consistently impressed with Wale's hair, especially when he puts it up. He does this cool halo braid thing in the music video for bad https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0TIIu9CERgI that looks really good.
There goes this nigga again. I swear he's everywhere
Naah bruh, it think I used this 8^). It really fucked up my hair tho. So not worth it.
i'm gonna go full stalker and post some screenshots i took that could be helpful as inspo
ur such a qt ~
rikard if ur lurking bless us with ur progress/advice
Idk my father's genetics, but as far as I can tell, I'm not mixed to any extent. Is there anything I can do to make my hair grow any faster?
I could never cut my hair off again. I did it and my face looked even fatter than how it did before. Anyways, buzzcuts are boring. I don't even bother with fades unless on the sides. I also grow a terrible neckbeard so...
It's definitely the weight. Luckily for the world, I'm exercising all the time nowadays. I use to be fatter. It's funny because people I know don't lost fat on their face like I have.
>mfw all you guys post are prettyboys
We need some average ass motherfuckers in this thread.
I wash my hair no less than once a week. I simply go to sleep with a durag and then apply moisturizer and lotion in the morning. It take two to three days after I've washed my hair for there to be any softness and for the shrinkage to stop. My one problem is hair that's long at the top and short at the back and sides because of my sleeping pattern. I need it to be the same size all the way around, so I comb out the sides and pat down the top. It's stress. All I want is hair like Lupita Nyongo
should i bleach the tips lighter
I've used texturizer some time ago.
I washed it out rather prematurely - in the end still really happy with the results though.

what to do with my hair ? i though about making the back and sides short and top more longer
Anyone here with relaxed hair?
I'm happy with it but I kinda want a barber to thin it out I guess? My hair's really think.
Also even out the edges.
Fuck is there a proper term to say to the barber for this?
You should. They look kinda like burnt cheetos now.
Any of you guys ever try going bald?
I just went back black. Whatchu think?
24h before use:
- Do not comb your hair out thoroughty, maybe go through it with your fingers.
- Wash out all hair-products.
- do NOT scratch scalp.
Protect the skin around your hairline with vaseline (including earlobes). I think the box includes some precautionary articles as well.
Make sure you have the shampoo stand-by and ready to instantly use. Something like a jar for the shampoo could come in handy. I tried to open the little package of shampoo in the shower and it kept sliding out of my fingers. I bearly kept calm. Also, if you're going wash your hair in the shower, do this shit as nekkid as possible.
Don't let your scalp burn for longer than 1 minute. >Officially you should keep working the product through your hair until you see an 's-pattern'.
You can use a wide-tooth comb to spread the cream evenly, but don't force the comb through your hair. As time passes, your hair gets easier and easier to comb with.
Wash the cream out first before you start shampooing.
>Make sure you have the shampoo stand-by and ready to instantly use. Something like a jar for the shampoo could come in handy. I tried to open the little package of shampoo in the shower and it kept sliding out of my fingers. I bearly kept calm.
After the treatment, once again, do no scratch head.
Apply the provided moisturizer.
From this day on, you're going to have to keep your hair and scalp healthy, because treated hair is prone to breakage. You may need to ask a specialist for maintenance advice.
I've only done this once. The first two post-treatment weeks, my hair looked thinner than in pic related.
So jelly of all the pretty niggas ITT
>tfw ugly darkskin nigga who gets no bitches
Barber refused to listen to me... And that was my inspo
I wanted my hair cut to his level on the sides but he did a skin fade. I just recently twisted my hair so hopefully it'll fatten up as it grows
Barber screw-ups are hilariously depressing and the reason I cut my own hair now, did you actually show him the inspo pic?
I was actually considering cutting my sides into a skin level fade thingy like yours but idk, pic related
Stop picking, brushing and combing your shit for a while. You'll get flack for having nappy hair all the time though, gosh you'll get so much bull from ppl but it'll be worth it once it grows out.
Your face is way to small for that hair. And I can already gauge how you look and it's not bad but you have a protruding face which makes it look weird from any angel other than the one you posted.
I have long hair. I usually just brush it while I'm in the shower. I'm pretty tenderheaded too so I just hold the ends really tight and brush them out, then I move my hands up a few inches and do it again. It still kind of hurts up towards the top but there's no escaping that.
Opposite of tender headed, but that's exactly how I detangle mine, too. Before I rinse my conditioner, I hold it tight, (I have a massive side cut, so it's not too much volume, you might want to part it in two and detangle half at a time) and detangle from the bottom up, an inch at a time. I use a boar bristle round brush, wide tooth combs grab too much whereas the bristles can let go easily.
Last time I did it was in november. You'll get natural outgrowth though, so you'll have to re-apply it every now and then. I haven't bothered doing so simply because I like the way it looks at this point. No outgrowth blatantly visible.
my hair is growing in uneven and it's so bad that it makes my face look lopsided as hell
i don't know if i should keep growing it out to see if it improves/becomes not as noticeable once my hair gets longer or if i should cut it off and see if it grows in uneven again (then i would know for sure it's a hair problem and not just me that bad with a comb)
i used to really like my hair but ever since i got it cut i haven't been able to get it back to how i wanted it
sry for blog
Anyone else transitioning? I'm only a few months in but I've got patches.
I've posted here before, but no help on this particular issue. I was wondering if there was a way to cover this up with my hair once I'm done transitioning. It's like this on BOTH sides of my head, and my forehead is massive. Will there be a way to cover this up after a few years of growth?
The one with straight hair is relaxed and hear styled. It covers up all of the flaws, but it's not good for my hair AT ALL
Question is, which would be better in the long run? Dealing with trying to keep healthy relaxed hair, or dealing with covering up bald spots and shitty hairline with natural hair?
>since I was born. It never grew in. ._.
Your parents are lying to you, girl. What did they do to you, you poor soul.
But seriously, consider going for the Lupita-look unless you want to hide bald-spots for the rest of your life. Serious advice.
Yes, if it really has been like that all your life, what can you do? I mean, you can keep covering it if you want, but that's not a long-term solution.
And don't be so down, your facial aesthetics look decent from what I can see (at least the shape).
But that's really weird, do other people in your family have the same condition?
i sleep on my back. i don't have a preferred side to rest my head on.
my hair used to look like this (pic) where if one side looked 'bigger' it was only because i was lazy with styling it. i got it cut once before and it grew in fine.
now - not so much. i can wash my hair comb it all the way out and i can still easily notice where one side is higher/further out than the other no matter what i do to the shorter side.
it looked alright cut short, but it's started to get around medium length again and is way more noticeable. i wanted to grow it out more and get it braided or twisted or something, but i don't think i have the patience to grow it all the way out again if it continues like this.
Can't you tell all of you have bald spots because of relaxers? Try the maximum hydration method (modified version for bald spots). Press and wrap your hair if you're gonna straighten it. But I highly recommend leaving it and doing the mhm and just wearing a wig or weave until you get your hair situated.
My sister DOESN'T straighten her hair. My mom never straightened hers because her hair wasn't as course or tight as mine. I just said the thin hair at our temples are genetic, my turned out worse because she probably burned my scalp.
But thanks, I'll try it out and find a wig or something.
