Every haircut is good as long as it's fresh and well cut. For most haircuts you need to go to the barber every 1-2 weeks. Long haircuts usually 1 week, short haircuts 2 weeks.

The only thing that you gotta take into account is your hair-type. If you have dense hair, hair of average length will stick out of your head and look horrible. If you have rare hair, it will fall to the sides and look good.

For dense hair you only have a few haircuts:
- sides really short, and top really long
- sides and top average, but lots of gel
- everything really long (mane)
- buzzcut/bald

I wear a buzzcut, because:
a) It's cheap (I cut it myself with a €150 haircutter)
b) I do a lot of sports
c) It saves a lot of time
d) Many girls have told me it looks athletic on men

That's it. I dislike people who go with the "meme haircuts" and look all the same. Don't do that kids. Find your own style.
