I feel like your furniture layout could be improved but don't think you have the space. Would be cool with desk by the window but wouldn't be practical.

oh. you could also turn your desk to face your bed maybe and then just rotate laptop when you want to watch movies or whatever.

Got this for free from a diplomat who was stationed in Nairobi at one point of he's career, pretty cool. It also matches the carpet.

Having desk by the window is great idea and it's so impractical as it seems to be. Actually, you'll have a lot light while working, writting etc. And don't hang this metro map on the wall. Perhaps you can hang some pictures like in pic rel
