What cologne/perfume does /fa/ use?
Bonus points if you make your own perfume.
I've come to the conclusion that M/Mink is the Byredo equivalent to TF Azure Lime.
... As in... shit.
can someone post the guides? I just won a couple hundy on horse racing and want to treat myself to something. I might just get some more terre d'hermes because it is dope, but want to branch out.
Upcoming rotation for spring is as follows:
Guerlain L'Homme L'Eau Boisee
YSL L'Homme
Carolina Herrera 212 Men
Lanvin L'Homme
What else should I check out? Thinking about Gucci Pour Homme II, Prada Luna Rossa & Lalique Encre Noire Sport
>>9544507
Dior Farenheit currently
any affordable entree tier cologne?
no playboy or axe please
I got a bottle of this for my birthday, been wanting it for a while now.
Smells amazing, not overpowering at all
Bvlgari Aqva
>>9545883
Eh, calvin klein or boss I guess, but that's barely any better than axe or playboy. You'll be better off saving for a bit and buying at least something medium tier
>>9545883
I have an Antonio Banderas blue seduction which I got as a gift. It's cheap and doesn't smell bad, would recommend.
>>9545883
Check out Perry Ellis. They tend to make very affordable scents that are knock offs of more expensive and popular designer fragrances. For example, 360 Red is a copy of Acqua di Gio, M is a copy of Allure Homme, 360 White is a copy of Le Male, Perry Ellis for Men is a copy of Bleu de Chanel...
What are your favorite spring/summer daily scents? Going to order some samples here soon.
I really liked John Varvatos Artisan, but it came off like the longevity and silage wouldn't be that good.
>>9544507
>if you make your own perfume
As if it's just something you can do
>>9545883
Buy miniatures
>>9545954
Some Calvin Klein scents are not terrible for the price. It depends where you live though
I've been wearing a lot of Amber Oud by Kilian lately.
bulgari black
>>9545883
Some really cheap basics. Most will be barbershopcore, but they beat a lot of more expensive competition:
> old spice
> azzaro pour homme
> PR Homme
> CK One (original, no summer or SE)
> CK Be
> cool water
> Stetson (well, at least from what I've heard)
I like the smell of women ferfume, is it weird if I wear it?
>>9546388
Gendering fragrance is a marketing technique, wear it if you like it
>>9546154
would be fucking cool to tweak your own smell to whatever you like. Unique as fuck.
>>9546410
cool
thanks brah
Does /fa/ have any thoughts on NEST fragrences? Been thinking of getting some for Spring.
>>9546410
Not really. Men and women have gender differences in scent preferences.
"...tuscan leather smellin' like a brick"
Copped yesterday for cheap
Anyone use it?
I've only tested it but it seems really vibrant for use in a sunny Spring day. It's rainy here, so I'm waiting until the sun is out to break this out.
It's also "youthful" so it'd be really good for a college student such as myself.
It's not a "wow" scent but if you need a fragrance that smells nice and doesn't offend anyone, this will get the job done.
Nobody is going to smell you neckbeards anyway. What's the point of dropping 50 bucks on some pisswater?
>>9546477
1. Not a neckbeard
2. Some of us have social lives
3. $50 is nothing, poorfag
4. Stay mad
>>9546461
Terrible guide. Stop posting it.
>>9546567
Never seen it before but it does seem a bit much.
> basenotes.com.
Everything's 4 stars
> sample in store, buy online
Not trying to get all sjw, but if everyone did that, no more stores to sample at. Whatever I guess there are enough dumb chumps like me who buy from the place where they discover it and tip 20% at restaurants.
>>9546567
what unscented body wash/face moisturiser do you guys recommend?
im in britbong btw
>>9545365
go for terre d'hermes
i just bought the soap and shampoo too
Poorfag here,
SILVER SHADOW EAU DE TOILETTE SPRAY
100ml for 20 euros.

>>9546697
If you're interested in the notes, get Lanvin Avant Garde, it's mainly honey and tobacco
I recommend copping john varvatos vintage or something similar, best smell Ive ever encountered
>>9545867
I can def recommend Gucci Pour Homme II. Perfect for spring, imo.
what do you think about Annick Goutal's Sables?
>>9545941

YSL l'homme libre 8/10 very clean

Tommy 100ml Eau de Cologne
Is this site even legit for that price?
>>9546629
Has this thing been updated?
not edgy / knowledgeable enough to make my own perfume. some of my favourites include : viktor & rolf spicebomb, YSL la nuit de'lhomme, armani attitude. armani sport code and burberry brit for more everyday wear.. haven't really dabbled too much in niche fragrances unfortunately.
Daytime, smells like watery/calming yet manly but not strong.
This day shit to get women liking you smell.
What are some spring/summer nice scents for somebody in college? Gonna hit up sephora this week, but always appreciate recs that I won't find in smaller cities.
>>9549551
also, anyone able to recommend any spicy / more night-time scents that i might like based on the first few i mentioned? swear i've tried out nearly every cologne in most shops near me, niche recommendations or smaller brands are also good
>>9549557
I hear it smells like Axe
>>9549576
heeley sel marin
heeley menthe fraiche (sp?)
terre d'hermes
youre not going to be able to find a sample but my own s/s is eau radieuse
i love incense, but its hot here, ive been wearing CdG incense: kyoto. shit is refreshing as fuck. and im looking into givenchy incense ultramarine.
anyone know other incense based frags that are fresh and clean and good for summer?
>>9549597
heeley might be a bit pricey for someone in college bruz
>>9549587
If that smells like axe then I'm the king of the world lol. What fuccboi told you that?
>>9549597
I feel like Terre D' Hermes is more of a fall scent
>>9549557
Smells like cream soda. I get lots of vanilla. It's very sweet, projects like a motherfucker, two sprays max. Good for clubbing. Too strong for daytime. It's very one-dimensional. I love the smell but I prefer something with more versatility that would suit me better.
I posted this in another thread but I was wondering where I Midwesterner can go to sample real colognes not the average polo shit. Im looking to try >>9546629 a bunch of stuff on the list and I cant justify just buying it
>>9549598
Givenchy Gentleman Only is a pretty fresh, clean fragrance made a little bit spicy from the incense.
>>9549898

How much ml is one spray?
What do you guys think about Déclaration from Cartier?
Thought about getting it as a summer frag
>>9546470
It smelled way too artificial for my tastes, there was a really prominent note of rubbing alcohol.
And this is coming from someone who likes Odeur 53.
>>9550017
That would heavily depend on the atomizer. Certain atomizers spray out little puffs, for example I bought some 3ml samples online and they gave me probably something like 10-15 sprays (I'm not exactly sure) but the atomizers sprayed little light airy puffs of fragrance. Whereas the atomizer on my Dior Homme is like a fucking SuperSoaker.
>>9550070
ah k
How is this for spring and summer? Need something to replace my Burberry Brit since winter is done.
Wanted to try something a little more niche, but didn't really find anything.
Is it pleb, or will it be nice? I can always add to my collection
>>9550160
Forgot pic
>>9550070
there is a clear size difference between the atomizer on the samples and on the full size bottles
hihihihi
>>9550070
>Whereas the atomizer on my Dior Homme is like a fucking SuperSoaker
lel it's true
Best fragerance ever
>>9550728
I got a sample of this last summer. When I got it, I thought it smelled like someone sprayed bugspray into an ashtray. Now when I smell it, I get a fruitiness with smokey wood. Not sure if the weather is affecting my perception of it or what, so I don't really know what the think about it.
>>9550068
I smelled the string alcohol note too. That was on the test but I'm hoping after application and dry down on my skin it'll go away
i like to perfume my crotch with jasminr scented incense before I have a "meeting"with my venerable clients.
then i apply a spritz of gucci envy me behind the ears
;-)
What's the general consensus on these? I've got one bottle of each and i'm thinking of stockpiling a few more for the price.
Also, anything on sale that's worth looking into http://www.chemistwarehouse.com.au/category.asp?id=600&sortby=123
This nigga right here
I want to find a unique scent to start using
How would I go about this? Buy a bunch of sample sets? Where can I?
>>9553975
> unique
If you want a scent that no one else is wearing it might be tricky. Because that's exactly the kind of scent that stores stop shelving and brands discontinue. You can go really expensive though, and then you'll at least feel a little exclusive. Or you can type-cast against your demographic, wear something that contradicts your style. Or you can layer, wear two compatible scents and you'll be harder to clock for either one.
descriptions of this sound fucking amazing. however i can't find it anywhere.
is there anything out there, that smells like pic related?
>>9553762
>not the intense version
And nobody has mentioned Prada Amber Pour Homme
>>9554282
Or this, which is more appropriate for the incoming warmer weather
>>9554290
Love this one
>>9554262
can't find it on their website or amazon so maybe it's discontinued?
Basically addicted to Rose 31. Sorta has a bookish but sexy feel, I think.
I know it's super popular and unoriginal as far as /fa/ goes, but what do you guys think about it.
