Recently moved back in with my parents for shitty reasons, so I'm holed up in a room filled with impulse buy exercise equipment and photos of my mother's family. It's been three months and I haven't even unpacked, just worn shit then left it hanging on things or thrown it on the floor. Every belonging I have now feels like a pathetic reminder of how much I've fucked up. A lot of clothes I used to take pride in are in soaked in stout in the corner, because I didn't care enough to clean it up properly and just dragged the nearest shit over with my foot to sponge it up. I think this room is the most un /fa/ thing that exists.

my room~ its white since my room is kinda small, and white gives a feel of space. its really bright in the morning, but i'm defo fine with it since it wakes me up ( i have a problem with waking up)
i just keep it clean often, putting things in storage and keeping it a habit

everything in this room is DIY. (even my computer lol) used annie sloan chalk paints and sanded it down and waxed to make it look more french provincial.
bed, desk, side table, chair and dresser are antiques that have been kinda worn out, so lets say they were restored. mirror was not an antique and has been bought for 5 bucks. painted w/ black undercoat and over with old white chalk paint. orange oil for distressing and staining :~)))

wall colour is cream so it doesnt hurt eyes

That's really incredible, I'm envious of that. I'm in the transition from moving out of a last-minute apartment outside to city into a temporary studio in the city, onto buying a place next year, so actually taking the effort to do something of this magnitude just isn't in the cards for me.

I ask about the mirror because my girlfriend wants a similar setup in my place for her makeup and all that shit. Thanks!

you do realize that the word "fashion" is about more than clothes, right? there's a reason it's not called the /clothes/ board.

fashion is about the way that you do something, especially regarding appearance, shape, and ornamentation. as in, the way my room is decorated is very fashionable. or, i fashion my room in a particular way. or, my jacket was fashioned in a particular manner.

fashion comes from the latin "facere" which means "do", not "clothes".
