There are lots of cool boutique style stores with a way higher ratio of mens to womens stuff. A girl I know went to one and complained about all the nice stuff for guys.

Women never outgrow that phase. They want whatever trendy temporarily hip shit is out every season. Ergo women buy a lot more clothes. Hence more retail floor space set aside for them.
