POST TATS, TAT IDEAS, SUGGESTIONS
i have a huge tattoo folder and nothing better to do
yep its a very cool style http://www.etterno.com/ theres some incredible contemporary tattoo artists around europe these days
this guy used to post on here about his tattoos all the time but he disappeared, anyone know who he is?
What do you guys thing of this? I know the drawing is bad and I am not sure about any aspect of it but I like the idea.
Thinking of getting a snake that wraps around my back to my abs, what do you think?
Also want pic related, but not sure where to get it, neck and calves full, 1 space left on thigh I thought of.
Yes, I'm going into a russian prison tattoo theme though, now
That's rad dude, I actually have a copy of a russian prison tatt on my shin. Really need to go get it touched up though, but I keep putting it off. All your shit looks good though dude
just fucking pray that you never end up in a russian prison anytime in your life
if you have russian prison tats and you haven't earned them they will kill you, esp if you have important ones like the 6 point stars near your shoulders
here's a russian prison tat doc i watched when i couldnt sleep one night, was pretty intense
and here's one on japanese irezumi which is a favorite of mine
tbh the best ive seen is just to use instagram
because its a very popular app MANY
tattoo artists use it young and old, and you can see who your favorite tattoo artist likes and check them out as well
id highly recommend just sucking it up and making an instagram account, you most likely wont regret it, esp when youre out somewhere and bored
Not the guy you're responding to, but I'm weary of entering Russia with my tattoos. As far as I know, I don't have anything that would be considered a criminal tattoo, but I wouldn't want to risk it. I don't trust the logic of prisoners to be like "Okay, this guy is obviously not from here and doesn't know the exact meaning of what he's got". No, they would probably just get violent. Going to Japan would be fine, though. Short Japanese men are just laughable.
other than irezumi russian prison tattoos are the only other style of tattooing i like, i hate americana or traditional tattoos,
>short japanese men are laughable
Trust me when you are walking through the red light district at night you won't find any of those suited nigga's laughable
6 ft 3 and got my shit slapped once for simply walking, nearly made the mistake of knocking the cunt out but thought better of it thankfully
I've been thinking about getting a simple tattoo of a egret on my lower right back, something like pic related. What does /fa think?
I have all the Russian prison tattoo books that came out with a couple years back. The one i have is copied from a guy that was sent to the gulag in the 50's for theft of state property. It didn't have any specific meaning, it was just an interesting design I liked. No one would be able to tell you it means anything because it doesn't. Just a skeleton holding a glass of wine.
Thinking of getting this on my right or left shoulder. Just the lineart. Thoughts?
i like the design, but it's clumsily done
the pommel of the knife isn't a circle, it's off center, so are the circles on the ends of the guard, the grip of the knife isn't straight, the thumb on the top hand is too small, the joints on the lower hand are wrong, and the fingers are too long, and the sections of the fingers are disproportionate (esp the thumb)
the stitching on the sleeve of the top hand detracts from the line shading of he hands, and should have been left as framing space like the blade was.
IDK why this one bugs me so much
The next tattoo I get is gonna be something based around the hanged man. Love the look of it. You should go for it. Idk exactly about the shoulder though, maybe a shin or inside bicep area?
what do you guys think about getting some old anatomical drawings as tattoos?
I tech for a living, and I can encode it with anything I want, but just for you, /fa/...
Thats the issue though they all look good enough, the question is how well that style translates to tattooing, and this isnt something that can been seemn when people post fresh or shooped tattoos
Posting some considerations, this one would be upper arm or side
This one would be right next to elbow on inside of arm
I understand that but what Im curious as to is just how well it will look in 10 years time. When you look at tattoo styles which age well like American Traditional and Irezumi they tend to avoid relying on small crisp lines and dots for detail like you see woodcut/ engraving.
I do not have any Im afraid and this is still an area I am looking into myself. Some of the general principles I have picked up is that small tattoos tattoos with a great deal of detail are a bad idea and getting roughed up majorly by the natural fading process. Hence detailed tattoos generally need to be larger.
As far as placement it depends a lot on size of the tattoo as well as your body (not factoring in pain of course) and is one of the reasons why its important to look at actual examples of tattoos rather than drawings because not only is the contrast very different but pictures look very different when applied to the natural curves and lumps of the human body.
For instance the groove of your spine or the gap in your pecs can distort pictures which aren't designed around that.
My buddy and I both have the mirkwood leaf
Different splatter though
Neat-o. I got another tolkien-esk rune made from my own name, tho, on my arm and am planning to get a similar tattoo on the other side of my leg so it looks kinda mirrorer. Wheel of Time, tho, not Tolkien. Then I´ll probably fill the front up with something like:
...so I get kind of a full-sleeve. Just on the leg. Maybe another arrow-design like I got in the first one, just in bigger that my girlfriend drew on the back to fill it up or something. The last one, probably.
I don't know who I dislike more, the degenerates in russian prisons or the bellends ignorantly copying the tattoos. At Least the cons were kinda born into that life and didn't have much of an option (notice how most of them started of stealing food). That guy who killed his grandmother has some serious issues though, how is he still justifying it in his mind.
sure you would princess, everyone's a tough guy on the internet!!
best thing is you'll never ever meet me and you wouldn't do shit if you did
Thoughts on this?
Thinking bout getting it on the chest.
>No I am not french, still love it though...
Nothing will ever beat this. Congrats /a/.
the guy who did one of my pieces did this, Dan Morris
Navy and prison honour are very different, I too would question people with misdiserved navy tattoos, as they represent something more than a bid in prison, I also find it very unlikely you'd hurt them physically
It's very unlikely you'd question people on their tattoo's too unless they were flaunting them "oh yeah, when I was with the navy and we did this in X I was keeping everyone calm, I'm so cool.. etc"
you posted something similar in that other thread and everyone said no then, why would they say yes now. you obviously want it done so why are you waiting for the approval of a fucking board on 4chan before you do it.
its going to look really shit by the way
I study architecture and was considering getting the golden ratio - i think its simple and cool
it's the golden ratio.
I highly recommend you not get a bunch of squares, and I highly recommend you not get a digital number.
if you like the golden ratio, which you should because it's basically the closest thing to god that geometry and architecture can be symbolically speaking, maybe get the actual symbol, OR get something from keplar.
I want to get a platonic solid on my shoulder, fucking geometry man.
as for 1.618..... that's not actually a distinct because digital numbers don't adequate geometry, which is why you can't square the circle with a pentagon even though it's geometrically fine.
btw, which solid is your favorite, platonic or not?
I'm thinking about getting this tattoo. Opinions? Do too many people have it?
Take the idea and kind of fuck with it a bit if you want something different. Add a bit of creative difference to it. But I love the logo and the history behind it, I'd go for it dude
wanted to get this on my forearm. would this be lame?
