I'm doing some research on where fashion is going towards to, and as I've seen, it seems like most of the military garments are then used as trendy garments... i.e: trenchcoats, parkas, etc.

I do not have really solid arguments to discuss this so your opinions and pics would be really useful.

CHEERS,
M.

dude what
>>
>>9466691
I mean, i'm guessing garments used in the military are then used by civilians as trends, but I lack of arguments.
>>
>>9466707
>over time, military garments have been and will continue to be reapprorpriated by civilians as fashion items
>gats, flight jackets, combat boots, parkas, the list goes on
Itd be an interesting read for someone who doesnt know much about fashion trends
>>
>>9466678
I think you're not really looking at what you're seeing. They all have military backgrounds about as obvious as the sun.

Hell, I believe the necktie has it's origins as a standard garb for warriors in France. I could be wrong. Point is, most everything classic in menswear has military roots.

Trenchcoat
Parka
Cargo Pants
Bomber Jackets
Flight Jackets
Aviator Sunglasses
Desert Boots
Pea Coats
Toggle Coats

The list goes on.

>Hell, I believe the necktie has it's origins as a standard garb for warriors in France.
That's true. Croat cavalry men serving in France used to wear a white scarf, which was adpoted at the court of France, and evolved to become the necktie.

The reasons are obviously, military garments are easy to produce, comfortable and very sturdy.

Not sure how the future of fashion will change based on military styles changing, probably not a whole lot.

because at this point in time they cant have military standards. Half the regular army has fled from ISIS the other half has join them.

These are really the only official iraqi army troops still fighting for the government against ISIS

If there's any rule to incorporating the military style into fashion, it would be to just make sure that it's not too contemporary.
