Just spent 4.5 hours stitching this album cover art onto a shirt, should I border the pocket with red stitching too?

thats fucking awesome man. Might try album cover stitches on some of my clothes.
>>
>>9424550

No. just complete the outer rectangle. Adding more stitching would detract from the high contrast visual effect that you've worked so hard to create. Nice idea, by the way.

It's very cute. I wouldn't stitch the border and leave it as-is.

I made a scarf some time ago as I couldn't buy one of the material and the length I wanted.
I'm thinking of redoing the stitching, though. :/

Thank you! I think I will just do the other rectangle
>>
>>9424646
I think just the top around your face needs to be redone since I think I see some extra material poking out. But the rest looks really neat and well-done
>>
>>9424655
Yeah, you're right. It's near the middle seam, isn't it? Went over it with the sewing machine but it was a little too thick so the machine didn't take it well. Might just pull them out and re-do them by hand.
Thanks!

>we're actually condoning this

I might spray some organic indigo hipster bullshit on my chuck taylors tomorrow, might post some pics if interested.

knitted a circle scarf/cowl a while back. I've also made some random baskets to keep my shit in as well as some shitty DIY stenciled patches I've sewn on a crust bag. Next big project would probably be a knitting a chunky cropped sweater, but I still needa find a pattern or draft one myself.

I used some fabric I had lying around for a year, so not sure about the material. It's a bit of a tougher cotton. It might be poplin.

I think that's the secret, I think. Tougher fabrics sit better nd don't 'droop'. Plus, it's really warm. The stuff blocks wind as if it's nothing. Of all the scarves I've ever owned, this one is definitely the most useful.

I basically just cut off whatever width I wanted from the fabric. I had 4 strips of ~23cm in width and 150cm in length in the end, and sewed two 'sleeves' out of the four pieces. Zigzagged whatever fabric there was left to make sure it wouldn't fray. Then I folded them inside out.

Hardest part was joining those two sleeves together. My fabric sheet wasn't long enough so that's why there's a seam in the middle. I had to redo that around 5 times. I can't even remember how I did it.I was frustrated and I was happy when I did it right haha.

Lastly I sewed those sleeves shut from the outside.

I think the measurements of the thing are 20*300cm, respectively.

Think of making your own cat. You can find a quality pocket tee shirt for cheap, get some acrylic paints, some brushes and you're set.

I'm looking at a pocket tee right now, and I'm thinking that I'll have to remove the stitching to temporarily remove the pocket. This is so that I can paint easier and cleaner. The stitching is simple enough to put back on.

Try it out.
>>
>>9424550
Op how'd you learn to do that/what tools did you use?
>>
>>9430815
No I'm not.

>>9424550

This is a 2nd variation I designed I'm gonna start selling these and the patterns I made for different things on etsy
>>
>>9430863
I stared down the album art and sewed in really tiny stitches very carefully and then went back over them a second time to thicken the line. It's basically like drawing but more tedious lol.
I just used a needle, thread, and a scissor.

>>9431735
I'll look into that, ty
>>
>>9433281
Wow cool thanks for the response. Was just wondering if you used a sewing machine or anything like that but if it's just hand I'm definitely going to try that. it looks so cool
>>
