Here man, I think I've made a mistake with my room, got all my face comic book single issues hanging on my wall (they literally cover a side of a wall), I like it personally, but I'm worried that it gives a bad impression (e.g manchild)

>>9363084
I don't have the pics right here but I think there are some in the archive, I'll dig them up.
A friend (and my now roommate) is trying to get a bar and transforming it into a cultural podium, he might let me crash there. Some other friends told me I could live with them when their roommate goes away, I'll probably take them up on their offer as they are probably the coolest people I know.

>Black leather couches
No
*Personal Blog Update from last thread*
I was very lucky for a dealer in Copenhagen to have the model in the fabric I wanted in stock for immediate delivery. Got a nice deal too after some bartering.
God I fucking love this chair. Best purchase I've made in a long time.
>>9363110
Is that that $5,000 chair that was posted a few weeks ago?
>>9363102
just made a pic but it turned out megashitty and my room is messier than I thought it was. I'm a bit hungover though, so this is what'll you'll have make do with. My last room was 7m2, this one is 14m2, the pic I responded to was the living room of the old one.
The couch is a gispen and I got it for free from my uncle, who found it somewhere on the street.
>>9363127
looks like it
bastard's got the footrest too
>>9363127
Yeah, and I was lucky enough to get the footrest included in the price, as they had it in stock and didn't have to order it from the workshop.
God was I ecstatic to hear that.

>>9363454
That's pretty much how I want to live when I get to move out of my shitty dorm room. Would probably ditch the curtains and install shutters instead though.
>>9363454
and here is the rest of the room i guess.
>>9363468
>ditch the curtains and install shutters instead though
sound suggestion
>>9363454
I like but a couple of things you could do in my opinion:
1. Get some pallets and put it under your mattress; more support/wear out your mattress less, gives color balance with the wood, effay etc.
2. The 9 shelf you have is too tall to have by itself, it would be cool if you could disassemble it and make it 2x6 as opposed to 3x3 but i don't think thats how it was constructed. I think longer and lower is better for the aesthetic you're shooting for
3. That painting is plebe as shit, looks like some shit you would find in some wannabe chic mall restaurant. throw that shit out, or if you must keep it I would recommend you get 2 more of the same type and hang them up on your wall equidistant from each other, it looks retarded on the ground.
4. have a little table low to the ground right next to your bed, you can put a book, glass of water, pills, phone, whatever, as opposed to on the ground next to your bed.
5. Lastly, I wouldn't shove your bed and that 3x3 shelf completely niched into the corners of your room, leave a little room for your bed and the curtains. The shelf space clogs that corner and blocks your window as well, I would suggest maybe putting a plant in that corner as it'll give it sunlight and enough space.
p.s. get some plants in your room, they'll clean your air, give you some color, make you feel better (therapeutic horticulture)
all in all good stuff just minor changes to make a nicer place :^)
>>9363468
Nonono do both
So you can have the shutters to let the light in or out, and the curtain to give the room a warm glow if you need.
>>9363506
damn, didnt actually expect a decent response
all in all thats actually pretty helpful, iv been meaning to change things up and the way it looks just now was actually just a total fluke based on doing what i could with what little i had at hand
pallets, shutters, table and plants and a 2 x 6 shelf (one i have doesn't reassemble) I can pull together on my budget no problem
painting is admittedly dull, although only other thing I have kicking around is a print of Guernica
What would you rec comend in terms of paintings and plants?
>>9363541
No problem, i'm not so sure about the paintings, but there is a thread in the catalog right now about that here: >>9362097
As for plants, you just want some low maintenance ones that look nice. I have a pachira (aka money tree) that I only have to water like one a week or two and just give it sunlight as well as a yucca plant and some smaller flowers etc.
I don't know where you are from but just go to your local plant store/home depot/whatever and tell them you want some low maintenance plants for your room/apt and they'll hook you up.
Hope that helps~
>>9363575
no worries, il do that
thanks very much

>>9363706
Get a desk, Wallpaper at least one wall or put some art or a mirror on it.
Take that plant off the floor
Get a better bed frame
Get a proper mattress
Paint the radiator
Bigger skirting board
>>9363432

I feel like the danish are to design what the germans are to cars, they use their nationality to charge the shit out of you
>>9363897
Hans J. Wegner was a fucking genius.
>>9363934
so was Carl Benz, but you can't deny it's slightly overpriced at 5000$ per chair
>>9364073
Danish labor is very expensive, as is the wood they use, which is all sourced in Denmark.
+taxes
+dealer profit
All part of paying for a handmade piece of classic furniture made in Denmark designed by one of the greatest designers of all time.
