I want to carry around stuff like phone chargers, extra battery, etc. but I don't want to look like a fag. What do?
Put them inside your jacket
Been looking for a good folio/clutch for a while, myself. Parabellum's a solid option, but too pricey for something I might potentially lose.
The Phillip Lim was on my radar for a while, but I didn't love the shape when it was held.
The Medium Balenciaga Clip comes close, but I've never been able to really get into the crackled, paper leather they use so much. And no handle/strap, which was kind of a dud for me.
just use a fucking backpack. jesus.
A small and stylish backpack is the way to go.
A "clutch" will make you look like a homo, and there is nothing you can do about that fact except not carry one.
I was pleasantly surprised by how sturdy and well proportioned the Valentino men's folios are (and they have a slip-in hand strap!), but they only had red at the SF flagship. I saw the smaller version of this.
I've traveled with all sorts of bags and I've personally come to the conclusion that for my own business purposes, a folio/clutch is much better than a backpack. A full sized bag is great for flights, but when I'm in a city proper and just shuffling between offices and showrooms, carrying only my phone, notepad, iPad, charger, wallet, and hotel key makes carrying a whole backpack kind of ridiculous.
I'm thinking of going in to Barneys or waiting for the new flagship to open to see this Margiela pouch in person.
Was Christmas gift shopping at the time and was getting distracted. Still not totally sold on it (the now signature Valentino studs are iffy for me), but it's a serious contender in my options.
I've been digging on the simplicity of the Proenza Lunch Bags, but I wish it had a handle somewhere. The cleaner it is, the more afraid I get of it slipping out of my hands.
This Troubadour is nice and I do like the idea of breaking in veg-tan leather.
Going in another, totally different direction, there are non-leather options like Master-Piece.
Copped this for $20, testing out what using a tote bag is like
