General thoughts on round toe vs almond toe?
I have typically preferred almond toe up until now.
But it's hard to explain, some almond toe boots look like shit (usually desert boots with big protruding soles).
Does price equal quality?
Like these >>9268244 are only £60. Does the fact they are £60 mean they will fall apart after a year or so? Or do some cheaper boots hold up?
>>9268288
There are all black versions of most of their shoes.
Thoughts on these? Brand is not the best but these seem like an ok pair.
>>9268463
palladium is a pretty good brand, actually. poet highly recommended them, and so do many other people who own them.
usually the people who hate on them just don't like the look and have never owned a pair.
i've handled a lot of palladium and they've always been fine quality for the price, but if you can get a discount they are a great ratio of price to quality.
Rossi's
C/N?
>>9268480
Thanks! I think Ill pick up a pair. Got any pics of fits with them? I'm having trouble finding some...
>>9268535
look at lunarcore inspo wherever you can find it.
if you can find poet's fits, he wore his a lot.
so did that one guy with the curly hair who did some lunarcore fits in his bedroom.
idk where to find them though. search the archive?

Modern docs are synthetic shit that will fall apart with serious wear. They still make leather docs under the brand doc martens forever, but they're way overpriced.
I've been wearing a pair of Corcorans I got an a milsurp sale and the uppers still look great after 3 years of heavy wear.
NIGHTMARE MODE: Post something mfa would disapprove of.

Anybody want to answer this for me?
love these
>>9268605
>Modern docs are synthetic shit that will fall apart with serious wear
I've worn mine frequently for four years and they show no sign of falling apart. guess I got lucky?

To a certain extent. As a rule, quality comes at a higher price.
A good example would be the difference a pair of Made in England Dr. Marten's boots and a regular pair of Dr. Marten's boots. They look identical, so why the price difference? The former are made by hand in England (which in itself drives the price up due to minimum wages and taxes) with better leather - you pay for both aspects. They will age much better and will last longer, due to better materials and workmanship.
The law of diminishing returns applies of course. A difference in quality probably isn't what sets a part a pair of boots that cost $ 1000 and a pair that cost $ 500. But if you're willing to pay extra - that'll be more than £ 60 for a pair of boots - you'll get a lot in return.
>>9268765
Any chance you can throw me a few brand names that make good boots?
>>9268790
Maybe you should have a look at plebbit's goodyearwelt sub. Good place to start if you're just looking for a quality pair of boots that don't stand out too much. Just google 'goodyearwelt'.
What do you /fa/gs think of these
>>9268765
So basically i shouldnt waste my money on boots worth £60?
>>9268818
Cheers ill give it a look.
Along time ago i had a collection of sites that people on /fa/ recommended. Ive now lost them sites due to it being along time ago. If anybody can throw out some brand names that sell good quality boots, id be grateful.
>>9268176
Take 'em if you like 'em clunky and awkward
>>9268907
>So basically i shouldnt waste my money on boots worth £60?
Yes.
>>9268931
I dont yet own a pair of boots. I'm now at the stage where i feel i need to own a few pairs.
As I've stated in a previous post, if somebody could direct me to some companies that make good quality boots, id be grateful.
The only two sites i know of are Red Wing Iron Rangers, which seem to chunky for me, and Loakes, which i dislike due to all the small holes the boots have.

Where can i find Stacy Adams Madison toe cap boots outside of America ?
It's like they dont even exist anywhere else!
And I can't get them online because I'd need to try the size...
>>9268959
Clarks Desert Boots are good for starting out, cheap and somewhat durable.

Fuck I guess I posted in the wrong thread, someone pls respond>>9271058
I got the britbong docs because the I've heard the chinese ones are made of shit. Although i'm so-so on the exposed leather.
I'd cop these if they weren't so fucking hard to get in Europe
Ridiculously cheap and I like how they look a lot
Any boots similar to this style?
These are cool as hell but I've heard people having problems ordering straight from Dayton and they are ridiculously expensive.
>>9271223
>>9271233
The fuck is up with the post numbers?
Anyway, I only know of All Saints Brisk and Snare boots that are kinda similar, was thinking of copping if they ever go to sale, since I kinda doubt All Saints is that good of quality.
should i cop?
opinions?
>>9270419
It's beautiful boots but the thing is that it's very expensive.
>>9271233
I thought those were vibergs.
>>9271486
No, it's Wings and Horns x Dayton Service Boot
Any one know where I can cop these or similar?

>>9271233
I'm 100% sure those laces won't last on a boot
>>9271223
they look like any old service boots to me?
>>9271238
Yas. Cop away. They'll be a bit expensive but last forever if you take care of them
I can't wear most boots/winter shoes, because I am too skinny and they look like clown shoes.
right now I use nike air force one, they were the best option...
do they look ok? or which ones would be good for me?
>>9271925
can't really tell from that picture, but those pants don't fit you at all??
I like these. But I've never had a pair of boots before, they're only River Island so I'm not sure about the quality of them. Any similar that's not like £150?
I also very much like >>9271233
Just copped either these
>>9272203
or these, I'll send the pair I like least back to the store
>>9272215
I copped these a while ago from all saints
>>9272224
And these deserts
What should I cop next?
I'm thinking about getting a pair of chelsea boots
>>9271236
I've got a pair of the snare boots m8, had them about a year and a half now they've held up fine
I only wear them about once every week or two though, and not in the rain
>>9271918
I supposed but they are readily available for hella cheap, do mention some other models if you know of any, I'm not that familiar with surplus as far as footwear goes.
Those are canadian parade boots, new ones are under 100 bucks and used (which imo look way better) range form like 30 to 50 bucks from what I saw online.
>>9272224
Any fit pics? How is the quality? Maybe compared to other leather boots you might have?
>>9272246
Those were my first pair, quality is good and they're a comfortable boot
Fit was tight once I first bought them but they moulded to my feet really quickly and I love them
If the price tag is not a problem then i suggest you cop
How are CDBs in black? Any good?
>>9272262
How's the sizing?
Honestly I was thinking of copping pair if they ever go to sale but if I might cop em anyway, was actually thinking the Brisk's myself though.
>>9272272
they ran a bit narrow when I first wore them but as I said they moulded very nicely
