why so expensive ?

All Saints makes lots of coats. They don't repeat more stylized pieces too often (if at all), but I'm sure that's still your best bet.

The piece I posted is from All Saints, but it is way to expensive for me right now.
Looking for something cheaper but similar

Part of the cost are the design elements (e.g. the exaggerated, angled storm placket) that are what you find appealing. I can't recall anything off the top of my head that would be an analogue at a different price point.
Thinking of getting a down jacket for this winter, want to be able to wear just a t-shirt underneath if it's not absolutely freezing. Pic related cop or not?

It's plain, but if that's what you're going for, okay. Just check the fill power against your climate is before you buy.

Do you have any other suggestions? It doesn't have to be down I just want to be sure of that it's warm enough.

any other suggestions?
Will anyone recommend an effay winter jacket that can handle -30°C weather and is sub $200?

Their shells are always solid. Slim enough to wear as a regular jacket, but with just enough room cut in to use in actual sport scenarios if you so chose. I have a feeling you won't, but it's nice to have the option. A better cut than most of the stuff at the same price range/make.
