nah but seriously the future will look like a trillion different things. take the culture of today with its millions of counter movements, revivals, sub genres, etc etc and multiply it by the square of technologies created times people in the planet. the aesthetic you or whatever anon was talking about will probably be most prevalent in the average america from the middle class up. middle culture will still reign supreme and continue to subvert high culture unless a major paradigm shift like revolution or a major cultural enlightenment. and the "apple aesthetic" of flimsy, boring under the guise of sleek and simple, glossy, plastic-as-thin-as-it-comes-and-glass-designed-to-break-after-six-months will rule middle culture. but that will only be for a time, if things continue wealth disparity will increase to the point of collapsing the middle class altogether and then it will be a world of repurposed broken and repaired haphazardly glossy tech and gritty retrofitted old tech vs shiny, well made and well designed, regal, luxurious tech and its cheaper middle class remnants imitators

im saying it wont come to an end. im saying it represents things I detest and looks boring in itself. the circumstances for recycling old technology and mechanical parts already exist all over the world. as our lives become more and more digital, socially, economically, politically, recreational, all people will depend more and more on the network including the lower classes and impoverished third world citizens. trickle down economics will take physicality in which less fortunate scavenge for parts in the dumpsters of the rich instead of just for food. everyone will need to be networked. think of how hard it is to be completely self sustaining in today's world, and then add to that urban expansion, more pollution, and no internet in a world where more and more information is commoditized and stored online. in the future peoples ovens will be run by private companies with the information of exactly how to run your oven to perfectly cook a chicken of such and such mass and make sure its turned off at exactly the instant its edible to preserve power according to new laws for people under a certain pay bracket. laundromats will be connected directly to homes via chutes in the inner city and will operate with fewer washing machines on timeshare algorithms to maximise efficiency, but without electronic tags on your clothes that are linked to your facebook account, you dont get them back. i can go on imagining scenarios. the point is everyone will need technology but only some will be able to afford it at the breakneck speed that it goes obsolete. so people will have to make do.
